It has much more than that, sadly.
Well out of all the gimmicks Vita has the least offensive is using the front touch pad. I can put up with it, even when they make stupid decisions and won't let me access the pause menu with buttons (uncharted, unit 13). It's a lot better than gyro and rear touch crap.
I hope EDF does at least passably well on the Vita; I've been playing the Japanese version, and it's a load of fun, as anyone who's a fan of the console version would expect. It's very much the perfect portable game, given that most missions are under ten minutes in length. Assuming the Japanese and US versions are compatible, I'd love to play co-op with anyone interested. Username is shiv2099, feel free to add me.

Not sure why it can't be $200 or less.
The Nexus 7 is $199 and runs Tegra 3, and presumably Tegra 4 won't bring any markup for consumers (if anything, these devices have only become insanely cheaper to the point of being impulse buys...)

Google is subsidizing the cost of the Nexus tablet. Nvidia will want to sell it at a profit.
I did the same thing (LBP 1 ---> LBP V) and agree about the improvement - not sure why it doesn't show other peoples scores :S Might be worth asking in the LBP thread where a dev sometimes replies too.
---also about PSASBR connection issues, might not just be the ports but maybe failing signal? Tried playing when sitting closer to the router etc?
Yes the Nexus 7 is $199 but there are clearly corners that were cut, and there are also Tegra 3 devices that are $500. This seems to be more of a premium product.
I'd love to be proven wrong though, because I want it.

There's back touch and gyro, too. The latter is optional, but makes the minigames much easier than using the analog stick.

That is true. Plus, unlike Sony and Nintendo, they can't use software sales to subsidize a loss on hardware since most of the library is free or 99¢ games.

My Vita touchscreen had been not working (intermittently) for a couple weeks. Called Sony support and they were super nice, and they sent me a box to return the system to them.
Box came in just a few days, very well packed with custom foam inserts for your vita, prepaid shipping back to Sony, nice color instructions, and even strips of tape to seal up the package!
Now it's off to FedEx and the waiting begins...

Why would anyone do that? It'd just be the one year anniversary of "the biggest bomba of all time."
I've never played one but I'm interested. At the right price I'll give it a go, but I'm not going to be adding it to my backlog very soon.
I'll try and have another go tonight, perhaps there were issues with the connection when I started the game. This is all dependent on finding a save point in Alundra.
EU or US? I think this weeks update is the first since the original release for US+.

The mods dont want NEWS to be buried here. I dont think a one year anniversary classifies as news that NEEDS to get its own thread.
For deals or news. I don't think they'll bemoan the lack of another Vita is doomed thread.
...News threads. "Vita is one year old" isn't news.
I thought that was just for news, though. A one year birthday isn't really news, in my opinion.
They have a point too. In here, we talk about the vita. Most of the other vita threads turn into endless bashing with very little real discussion.

Some anniversary threads are a pretty nice show of appreciation if they are done with care. But yeah, in the current Gaf climate that would probably stir up the haters.
Of course its not good, but the current climate regarding that topic isnt either. I dont see why someone should put hours into a carefully crafted appreciation 1 year anniversary thread if we know its going to get thrashed by others.

Not really. Plenty of VitaGaf make topics actually. But it usually flops unless its a topic about how much of a failure it is. That's when the topic becomes mediacreate/3DS-Non vita owner/pressed gaf that repeat the same shit every thread
