Hmm...I have this copy of the Wii version I never played yet and I feel like this is one of those games where it will be hard to play through without knowing any Japanese with all the swords they give you. Oh well, at least I have 2 months to decide.
We're up to 8 vitabros now. We can move forward with our HSG tournament at this point..we could easily wait a few more days and see if we get to 16 though. Thoughts?
I'm leaning towards closing sign up for the inaugural tournament and going forward to keep interest high. We can easily do a second tournament afterwards and others interested can join in then.

Cool. I am going to start keeping a loose list together in my posts. No commitment yet, I just don't want to lose track of names. If we get enough people saying 'what the hell, I'll join in', then we can set something up. Reminder, this is just a casual tournament. Not looking to complete in a single day, maybe not even in a week. Just a chance for us to play some MP and have some fun with it.

Day 1 when it reaches EU. I actually got the US version of original CP cause I didn't have the patience to wait :lol. Was worth it tho.

It wasn't THAT bad tho I agree it isn't good either. The fact that I got it for free probably helps xd.

Chronovolt is total ass. How they thought it was okay to have framedrops in this kind of game totally blows my mind.
I didn't even bother downloading it when it went free for PS+ because of how bad I heard it was. And because I was so disgusted at SCEA.
Yep. Hope XSEED get it on the EU store fairly soon.
Haha, seriously. UK got really screwed when we got that instead of JSR, Wipeout and FFT.

I generally hate having 0% on any game in my trophy list. But I made a couple of exceptions for some really bad PS+ games and Chronovolt was one of them.

Oh well it ain't that bad. Getting all trophies was like sub 3 hours probably. It is a very short game.
Gah, I didn't know. Didn't see you sign up. Well, we have a few more people to add to the list. I am not opposed to waiting another day and setting up a 16 person tournament, assuming we get the interest.
Damn, maybe I should do the same before I waste 20 minutes I won't get back. The overall consensus seems to be this is a piece of crap.
Honestly, I haven't played HSG online before, so don't know the options. Here is how I had this envisioned:
1. Brackets finalize and we receive our opponents
2. Contact opponent on GAF to determine a play time that works best for both parties
3. Both parties log on and one challenges the other to a match
4. Report winner of match in thread
5. Repeat
I didn't imagine we wouldn't be able to do it this way, but now I am a little concerned. Can someone that has played it online verify this should work?
3 hours on a bad game is 3 hours I could invest into a game worthwhile. Trophies doesn't make up for the time lost to me.

It's cool, I signed up and I'm straight garbage. Booked into one of the live tournament things just now just to see how live multiplayer works.

Well, no real limit as overall interest will drive how many of these things take off. But eventually we need to determine who is playing in the first tournament so we can set up a bracket and begin playing our matches.
True, that is how I envisioned it going. The key for me is that we don't have to finish all the tournament matches in one shot, or all be online at the same time and play through the entire tournament in one go.
