Gundam AGE 16
So basically even the writer hated Flit so much he dropped him halfway into the show? Even as a man, Flit is a horrible character. He continues to childishly see the Vagan as something less than human, and stupidly declares to hunt them down (they're all at Mars, which isn't exactly somewhere a human can't find.)
Okay, new protagonist, Asemu Asuno. STUPIDEST name, but there it is. He looks like his mother. Why does Japan always make the man look like his momma? Is this an Eastern thing I don't get? Because I always grew up reading about men who looked like there fathers, and being told how much I looked like my father, but in Japanese stuff the guy ALWAYS looks like his mom.
Like, Sosuke looked like his mom, Cecil got retconned into looking like his mom, and now Flit's son looks JUST LIKE NOT-FRAU BOW.
So what this means is that either this will be the coolest moment in Gundam history, in which Frau Bow at last pilots a Gundam and shows us all she ain't nobody's bitch, or, more likely, this guy will suck.

I've never seen Code Breaker, really. The manga was just that awful for me. I should probably start on it to see what all the fuss is about.

2012 is going to be worse than 2010's list because at least in 2010 there weren't enough anime worthy of being placed on a top ten pedestal to begin with.
In the spirit of Tamako Market, I have gone downtown to purchase some fresh mochi from Fugetsu-Do in Little Tokyo!!
Fugetsu-Do is a japanese confectionery (much like the shop in Tamako Market) where they make different kinds of mochi! It is all made on site, by hand! Fugetsu-Do is also one of the longest standing family-owned businesses in LA. It has been in operation since 1903 - it is over 100 years old!! Having survived the Great Depression and the Japanese internment camps of WWII, this business has been passed down from generation to generation! It is a treat, and an honor to step into their humble store and make a purchase ;_;
Fugetsu-Do sells a variety of mochi and manju which are made fresh daily! Today I purchased a few of my simple favorites, for starters I wanted to try their peanut butter mochi, which come as 6 pieces already packaged:
Next, I bought some assorted mochi from their selection (which you can see above). Here we have (from left to right), Habutai, traditional Daifuku, and Anko (now I can finally eat Anko, LOL!) The Habutai is more soft and the red bean paste is delicious! The Daifuku is my favorite, and it has a slightly firmer texture and the beans are diced or crushed. The Anko is white bean with strawberry, and chocolate on top! It was absolutely delightful!! I am going to try to save the rest for ep2 of Tamako Market. Would you like to try some fresh mochi? Well fear not you can buy a pack of four Habutai from Fugetsu-Do for a mere 6 dollars and have them delivered! I fucking love mochi so much, and eating them makes me ridiculously happy!! Life is so wonderful!!

It hams it up at first to elevate the shit source material but manages to pull of an incredibly well done ending. It's great.

Flit's maybe 50 at this point, right? Why didn't he do like Don Boyage and spend those 40 years mastering Mobile Suit piloting, rather than entrusting it to his dumb kid?
What kind of an ass is Flit? I mean, not only does he put his son in danger by forcing him to pilot Gundam, but he also spends his time moping about not being able to save the one he loved (when he was twelve) rather than focusing on the fact that he does have a wife and two kids. Yeah, the reason he's never home is TOTALLY because of work and not because he's trapped in a loveless marriage to Not Frau Bow with children who look like her.
Why did Flit hide the Gundam, rather than entrust it to the Federation so it could spend those 40 years mass-producing them in preparation for the return of the Martian Successors?
Seriously. Just as Flit's mommy was behind the entire UE thing so that he could become a hero, so, too, is Flit now allied with the dark echelons of the Martian Successors to set HIS son up as a hero so that the vicious cycle of innocent people dying to prove how special the Asuno family is can go on and on.

Goddamn, pure Goddess Urd totally blows. She's all feely and cryey, but not awesome like Belldandy. They need to get her merged back with demonic Urd as quickly as fucking possible. This show needs Urd, dammit.
Keiichi really kinda sucks now. Like, this is the most he's ever sucked. First, he tries to comfort Belldandy by going all, "Durrr, we haven't proven that Marller kidnapped Urd yet", when Belldandy pretty much proved it conclusively with her magic. Then, demon Urd tells him to close his eyes for three seconds. He's like "wut", but then she tells him she'll give him something to find Skuld, and then he's all "durrrr, okay.", cause she totally needed him to close his eyes to do that. Then Belldandy sees her kissing him and runs away crying. Nice going, Keiichi. You're somewhat responsible for breaking Belldandy's heart. Hope you're happy.
I'm really glad they didn't go into Marrler singing karaoke. She sounds like a 70-year old bus driver who smokes 6 packs a day and hangs out with other old and miserable people at the casino in all her spare time.
