They patched it today, want to give it another go? Sorry for the missing Chess invitation btw, I am a tad busy in RL (and with Alundra) atm
I really, really, really hope they get to properly redo Surge as well. Fantastic gameplay and concept that only needs more content and unlockables (and some balancing).

I don't know whether to go for Persona 3 Portable on the EU store (£24, yeesh) or to make a US account and buy Persona 3 FES because it's supposed to be the better version and it'd be cheaper. I'd really miss having a Persona game on the go, though.
Although this is the Vita thread, go with FES. It's a lot cheaper (£9-10), and you won't feel like you're getting any kind of watered down experience.
Alternatively, wait for P2/P3P to be on sale together for £24 and buy both then.

Well doesnt P3P have some advantages as well that should be mentioned? Like being able to choose a female character and being able to control each party member in the fights.

DO NOT listen to people who say fes is better. I tried to play fes after playing p3p and the combat was just unplayable to me. You don't have direct control over for party members and you can't guard. The only thing better about fes it's the useless 3d hub and the low budget cut scenes that look like that were made in flash.
We had trouble setting up games for Sonic due to router NAT issues. Make sure you've set up your router correctly.

It's true. I spend many hours of my day, staring at my invitations, waiting for his next move. I used to pretend he was just that scared of me, but now I just cry mostly.

P3FES is only $10!? It would save me money, and I could get another US only PS2 classic while I'm at it, but I do like the appeal of P3P being, well, portable. I may just wait and hope it goes on sale during the promised Vita themed sale for EU.

Also it might just be because I got it for $15 but PSABR is a hell of a lot of fun...a tad repetitive I imagine and the UI is adsfl;nadjklsnfkladsbn but still! So many nostalgia trips!!!

Hmmm. Tricky, the game has tons of SP content and I get the impression that most people got their moneys worth from SP. I didnt enjoy MP that much.

Do we know if NGS2+ is neutered like regular Sigma in the gore department or is it more like OG NG2?

Based on the video, looks like gore and dismemberment is back in (no mist).
I'm more concerned about framerate and whether or not touch controls are optional this time. The latter would be a deal-breaker.

Such a shame how Sigma 2 fixed some of NG2's most glaring issues while introducing some itself.
30 FPS in Sigma+ was okay for me. But the camera switching to first person every time I slip off the left stick and touch the screen for a split second was definitely not okay. There is no way to disable that in Sigma+ 1, right?

last night was the first time i ever played MP for hsg. it was a blast because it was with gaf... so long as gaffers keep up playing together it may be worth it. how much did you invest in teh game already? how much do you play SP? i mean if youre not totally into the game then mp may be a thing you can go without... but there were lots of people playing last night who barely have played the game ever, and they seemed to love it.
on top of the matches last night, gaffer Yanksfan has set up the first "casual" tourny. so depending how that goes ( and im sure itll be well) there will be another one after it.
Not that I know of, from my time with it so far.
