Someone should make a Dead Space 3 demo impression thread, I need to know if this is a horror game or a "blockbuster" title. I know its just a demo, but its the developer's job to represent their game well in this demo.
Omg the demo is bad.
It's Gears of war now...oh and Uncharted.
Nope. I'll play Dead Space 1+2 for the third time instead.
puzzling

Shootbang indeed
100% blockbuster. A lot of needless additions, cover system, explosions everywhere, etc. I think I'm not gonna give this one a chance, even though I adored DS1 and DS2.
Well, to be honest it is a semi-cover system. When you aim near any wall/barricade/whatever, Isaac instantly goes into crouch mode, and hides behind objects when you don't shoot. He isn't glued to the wall, though. Also, there's really not a cover system. You can crouch, and there's things to hide behind every once in a while. You don't stick to objects though. You do stand up when you aim though, allowing you to shoot over cover.
Also, after choosing "solo campaign" from the main menu, you can choose "new game" or "weapon crafting." The second option takes you into a small room with a bench so you can try out all the weapon crafting stuff. You have unlimited health, ammo, and stasis, and can spawn in some enemies to test the weapons out on. I could see spending more time in this mode than on the actual demo, just seeing what weapon setups I like.
Nailed it. Fights are essentially GoW, and that QTE sequence preceded by wandering in a snowstorm was almost like Uncharted.Omg the demo is bad.

I still have the first one gathering dust here. I started it on the hardest difficulty but i pussied out because it was too hard.
Is it worh to reboot it on normal? Or is the sequel just better and should i get tht instead? Because i'm interested in this now.

Watching someone play through it...looks terrible..
wait, wait, wait. you can only carry two weapons now? the hell? :/
No dementia, no zero-G, one QTE sequence, two "semi-boss" fights.Does the demo have any dementia moments? I remember DS2's demo had one. That wasn't terribly frightening anyways, but the Zero-G in DS2's demo felt amazing.
My guess is that you upgrade it later in the game since up/down on the d-pad aren't used for anything. (unless you use them with your co-op partner, in which case, this could really suck)wait, wait, wait. you can only carry two weapons now? the hell? :/
Oh, and one more thing: the Normal difficulty is pathetically easy. After finishing the level (and you start it with an overabundance of medkits/ammo) I had almost two times more of everything than in the beginning.
Hey, I have an extra code if anyone would like it.

As far as I understand it, you can modify your weapons to have several attachments. Probably 2 different attachments per weapon. So you should still have 4 guns on you.
I would not mind!
