Why not P3FES? No surprise that the steaming turd known as P3P wouldn't fill the void.

Only a handful of games have left me with the same feeling you've described:

- Earthbound
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
- Final Fantasy Tactics
- Super Mario 64 DS
because there was fuck all on DS to play after that
- Demon/Dark Souls

If you like Persona, you will like IS. Interesting story, but the latter half of the story got really rushed and the ending is prettyanticlimatic (even worst if you beaten Eternal Punishment and know the major plat twist, like me) and...well, you get the "That's it?" feeling afterwards. But the core game is fun as always. Not a long RPG (I did almost everyting in 30 hours), not that hard (the last boss is not that hard, for Persona standarts), but the battle encounter rate can drive you insane if you care for that kind of stuff.

Oh ive played P3 before, own three copies of it. Wanted to try the FemMC for diversity.

People sure do have a violent reaction to Persona 3 PSP in here. It's missing the anime clips and the 3d models. Is there a reason besides this to hate it?

It doesn't really bother me though. It was fine and well-suited to a handheld experience on the PSP at the time.
 
I just downloaded Wake Up Club and set up my alarm for 6 AM. Seems fun enough. At the very least more fun then waking up to my cell phone's alarm.

The Vita speakers are pretty weak though to be honest. Even on 'Loud' with my Vita at Fully Volume I'll probably sleep through it.

Oh and, anyone know if Need For Speed Most Wanted is any good on the Vita?

the visuals are downgraded in comparison to the console, but it is so much fun. i loved it.

I just found out JSR Vita is one of those 100%-off kind of deal, not instant library. It means that I will own it forever, even after the free month of PSN+ expires. Thanks for the free game Sony <3

(I already have it on DC and Steam but yeah, handheld version is really appreciated, despite controls)

EDIT: are there other 100%-off discounts on europsn+ right now, btw?

Well, I just found out that the local store doesn't have any of the Liberation bundles, so I may be ordering a refurbed white Vita from the Gamestop website. It's only $189 and doesn't come with AC Liberation which I have no desire to play any way and I could use the extra funding room for a memory card. I'm just not sure how comfortable I am ordering a refurbed model. The last thing I want is a scratched up white Vita.

There's no definitive version, P3P is an amazing game and greatly improves the original's battle system. However, if you want to play the epilogue after finishing the story, or if anime cutscenes are important to you, you should play P3:FES.

you might as well just buy a white bundle off ebay or craigslist...

and not trying to change your mind but there are much better options than book of stories for your first game...i'd really suggest getting PS+ for atleast the 3 month pack. thatll open you up to a good handful of quality software

You'd be lucky to find a new Liberation bundle that is not priced above $300. Sony should really release a freaking White Vita. I'd double dip.

It's hard to compare the two objectively after playing P3FES first and then P3P, since I could remember what the cutscenes were. I guess I kind of filled in the missing information like the 3D areas from memory or something. I think I'd have to say I prefer P3P though. Playing through again as the female main character and having control of your whole party makes up for the concessions made for the PSP version. I also didn't enjoy The Answer at all, if I had maybe I'd think differently.

And the description on the store talks about discounts, not the usual "it will be playable until the end of your subscriptions blablabla" like usual, so I think it's pretty much confirmed. Weird that it shows an expiration date though, I'll check on my PS3 right now.

Gravity Rush

I'm thinking of Need For Speed Most Wanted and maybe Assassin's Creed Liberation. Anything else I should get GAF?

Sorry, but that is not correct, it definitely shows an expiration date on my Vita. So better finish it quickly :P

The EU blog always shows Instant Game Collection titles as 100% off as well. Just check previous store posts.

- NFS:MW is great
- AC:L is your typical AC but even more buggy

You should totally get:
- Virtua Tennis 4, really fun and arcadey. Lots of content
- Rayman, Looks amazing on the Vita
- Unit 13, Great TPS
- Dokuro, Amazon game for it's price
- LBP Vita, great levels
- Wipeout 2048, best visuals on the system
- Mortal Kombat, dirt cheap and lots of fun
- Hot Shots Golf, usually very cheap

Maybe you should look into PS+

It's not the definitive version. It's the best version in some regards, a bit worse in others. Personally, I think P3P made the game more fun to play than on home consoles. And the scenario that is missing from P3P is shit, so you're not really missing anything.
 
Interesting moment on the bus to class this afternoon. I was riding in the back with a female and I pulled out my Vita. She saw it and gave a scream and ripped hers out of her purse. We spent the next 20 minutes talking about Vita games and discounts lol.

He was discussing how at the moment they could only talk about the first 12 hours of the game. Before that was a vita conversation

Two completely different things


Also I'm really ill so no HSG today ill try to get my round done by the end of the week but the timing is awful :/
