Brasil but I'm from Colombia, such drastic Changes in weather are so strange. Rio has seasons but they are very mild, they are basically cool, hot and really hot, it is still very odd for me, in Colombia if you don't like the temperature you move, because is not going to change.

Yeah I was afraid the open relationship talk would be awkward. And like I said, it's all preliminary.

So, the other day (about a week ago?) I was talking to the guy I'm dating, when he asked me if I thought I needed more time before getting into a new relationship/guy and I told him I still had some issues regarding this other guy from before (the one who caused all the drama). I took the initiative and deleted him on instagram and twitter (the only links I had to him. I had unfriended him way back on fb because it was extremely poisoning. He unfollowed me on twitter back then too, because of his boyfriend or something like that).

Since then I felt I was doing very good, I didn't really feel the need to check his profile, like I used to and when I did I was able to resist. The door seemed to be finally closed.

Guess who wrote me today on google chat?. WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME? Obviously all my insecurities came back. We briefly chatted, I mentioned that I'm dating someone, he said "that's nice" or something like that. I don't know what the fuck he wanted it was just a bit of small talk. I guess probably nothing. Maybe he'll stay away now.
 
Fuck, haven't been this down in forever.
I was going to meet a guy I've been talking to for a month and a half tomorrow for the first time, it was supposed to be my first date ever and we were going to spend the whole weekend togethe (he lives 300km away), we had this planned for a couple of weeks and I had planned out the whole damn weekend, made dinner reservations and all that shit.
Then he texts me a few hours ago saying he can't come because of some issues (no need to name them here I guess), and I just can't help but feel so let down but mostly angry.
I don't know if I'm being selfish, but it feels rough.

And no, we can't meet up any other weekend, this was a very rare occasion where we could actually meet each other. :/
 
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, but the moral of the story is meet within the first week or so of chatting to someone. The longer you go without actually meeting, the more likely it is that somebody will get cold feet and just call the whole thing off.

Yeah, that was my hope, but the distance as well as my living arrangements made it hard, as well is him working as a security guard every other weekend. He says he has fallen for me hard, but I just wish he put some effort in it.

I love being home in NOLA and all, but the constant presence of good-looking Mexican guys is one big thing that I really miss about living in Austin. Mmmmm..

Eduardo Verastegui used to date and I think he even lived with Ricky Martin in the 90s.

Then when he landed the his first American/English movie role "Chasing Papi" his English dialect coach or whoever the movie studio hired for him introduced him to some church program or whatever to "help" him. He then became a die hard born again Christian. He even went on to star in commercials against gay marriage in California.

*sigh* I used to have such a crush on him, I used to watch "Sonadoras" just to see him and I don't even understand Spanish
