Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

last week when I posted about the deal, Thursday or Friday or something.it arrived yesterday.

Thanks.
I'm probably stuck with the normal version I guess, since I ordered mine on Sunday.
and it was before they came back in stock. I guess they really were out of stock and just replaced the special with the normal edition.

Any chance of a rule where people can only post deals and any requests for 'best prices' of mainstream games are just referred to the many games price tracking sites? I may be a grumpy man, but it gets annoying seeing people being that lazy.

And in that vein, Tizoc, it takes seconds to check one of these:

DISCLAIMER: I haven't visited all of the above as they are blocked at work so YMMV, but they all came up on the first page of a simple google search...

Heh thanks I'll keep them bookmarked for future use and will inform my brother about them.

You should just buy it now, the developer already said they are just going to update the Steam game with the Mac version, any way.
Yeah, I know, it's irrational. Just that the game's been 'nearly ready' for a couple months now, and I figure that it's 50% off pretty frequently, so I'll just grab it when it's done.

My copy of Tales of Graces from Zavvi was the normal edition as well. Getting in contact with them, but it doesn't look promising. Someone on HUKD who called got treated pretty shitty.

Making an order with Play-Asia for about 75 USD (not including shipping) to the UK. Chose FedEx shipping, what are the chances of getting stung for import tax?

Is emailing them to mark down the price advisable? I'm thinking if it's with FedEx it's unlikely to go missing. Really loathe to pay anymore than I already have lol.

You email and they put a note on your account to mark down all packages. They only put it down to 50% though, so you'll still get likely charged on $75. Could be worth making smaller orders if it's possible, because even if you're using a $5 coupon, the amount you'd save on customs from having two orders of $40 (marked at $20 each) will be far more significant than $5, and they'd still qualify for free shipping.

Obviously useless if it's one big item, but yanno

I've ordered the reprint of the DS Etrian Odyssey trilogy, so it's three seperate DS games. Not gonna be shipped for a while so I've got time. I've emailed them to mark it down but maybe it's worth cancelling and re-ordering them on three seperate orders? I know some retailers ship out in seperate packages but I've never used Play-Asia before.

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

Play-Asia will ship them together. Since the games are $24.90 each and they ship free over $25, I'd just make three separate orders and add some cheap sweets to each one to make it over the $25. No chance of customs then, especially with them marking 50% off.

Their sweets are really tasty =P

Can my order be shipped overseas?

We are able to deliver most of our product ranges anywhere in the UK, including the Scottish Islands & Northern Ireland. However, we are unable to deliver to an overseas address. You can find out if we deliver to your address when you go through the checkout process.

Grrrr at Zavvi, received my not so special edition of Tales of Graces F. :(

This will be the first time that I almost want an order to get lost in the mail.

Hoping to get the Tales SE, ordered on sunday... Pretty shitty of zavvi.
So, is the game inside the SE the regular edition? I mean the art and stuff.

Contents of the day-1 (which I actually ordered day 1, silly me. :-))

Not pictured: a leaflet from Namco to register the game on their site.

I dunno, I think Vita still has a ways to go to justify even that price at the moment.

The Vita in itself is a really nice device. The screen is impressive. It's quite comfortable despite it's relative large size. The Home Menu is great.

There's just a lot of off putting stuff hanging around it, like the mem card pricing, the half assed "region freeness", the lack of BC with the PSP (well, you can rebuy your PSP games in the Store, but that sucks), ... which is all stuff they could actually change if they wanted to.

But the device itself isn't overpriced imho.

Can you elaborate, please? Is this about online passes or are some games really not region free?

No, sorry, should've worded it differently. The games are region free. But you have to buy an extra mem card to be able to open an account on other region's PSN (f.e. to download dlc for your imported games). Which is why I called it half assed. Sorry for the confusion.

As far as I know, any single-player content is region free. Any online passes or PSN DLC require you to be signed in to an account from that region (thus needing to format the Vita to change accounts). I could be wrong though.

Ok, was just worried that if I just blindly import SP games I'd run into problems with region locking. Thanks for clarifications.

I'm looking at getting a 32GB memory card for the Vita. The best price I can find is £60 on Sainsburys/Amazon.
Does anyone know any better offers? Are there any rumblings on larger memory cards/a price reduction anytime soon?

Unfortunately no, and £60 was the best price I could find to. :(

CEX, on their website have the mem stick for £52 but they are highly unlikely to have any in stock.

There are 4 in stock right now at CEX. Not an amazing saving after the £2.50 delivery charge though.
