Got a 10% off for Zavvi two days ago. The fine print says it expires November 2012, so that's a bit weird. Leaving it in the post anyway, it should definitely work.

Paid through PayPal, too. But got an email a few mins ago saying they've cancelled my order since the code had already been used. I'm guessing one of you two will have the same email soon..?

I actually have no idea. I'm in the UK, email is from NOE, so maybe Europe-linked? But I don't know, and I can't try it without using it. Maybe somebody else has an idea?

I bought my 3DS in the UK and am currently in Germany, so I guess I should be fine. Should I send you the money via PayPal?

Similarly if anyone wants a download code for Layton, PM me and I'll sell it for £15 over Paypal.

You're talking about 'Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask', right? If that's the case, I would be interested in that one too. That is, of course, all given the assumption that I can actually redeem the code. But since I assume that the codes are EU-bound at worst, everything should work out just fine.

I'll be afk for the next 45 minutes but you both can send me a PM with further details and I'll reply as soon as I get back.

I can tell you that my French Layton code only worked on the French e-shop.

Because I prefer to play Layton in English than in french, I tried my french code on the English e-shop hoping that I would get the game in English, but no, it told me that the game was not available on this e-shop (because it probably tried to download the french version from the UK e-shop). So I went back in the french e-shop and it worked.

So the only thing the European buyer of your code may have to do is changing his region in his profile settings to the country where the code is from, downloading the game, then switching back to his country e-shop.

Just bought myself a Vita and looking for some cheap games to play until P4G comes out, is there anything bargainous (sub-£10) out there?
Deals on UMvC3, SFxT, Everybody's Golf and Sonic & All Stars Racing would be particularly appreciated.

A Zavvi code would be great too if anyone has a spare.
I had one that I was saving not realising that they expire :-|

What games could you get codes for when buying a 3DSXL?
I might be interested in a code for the UK store if there is one available.
Have Mario Land 3D and Layton already.

– Nintendo presents: New Style Boutique

– New Art Academy

– Freakyforms Deluxe Your Creations, Alive!

Not the best of the options, I'm guessing.

I don't know if that deal is still on, but there was this Facebook/Twitter thing where you could get 4 games for free: Canabalt, Wizorb, BreakQuest and Velocity. The link is somewhere in the VITA thread and there might be a separate thread for it too.

Also Jetpack Joyride is free to download from the PlayStation Store.

So that's already 5 games you got there to keep you busy. ;-)

MotorStorm RC is also sub-£10.

Edit: this is the Facebook page. Dunno if it still works though.

Everybody's Golf was £7.50 in the Asda sale but they're usually hit or miss (blame hukd mainly for that) but the best bargain I've seen recently was LittleBigPlanet in Sainsbury's by me for £14.99.

Hey Zeno, have you had any lip-sync problems? The streams work fine for me on iPad, but on my Xbox 360 the audio noticeably doesn't match the video - and it gets worse and worse the longer I play something for. From looking at the Now TV forums it seems like a lot of people have the same issue. It's a shame as the service looks pretty good (though obviously not worth the £15 a month it eventually becomes).

No, I haven't had any problems and I've watched three films on it so far. I only use the Xbox version.

I think the £15 subscription fee is because it also includes live streams of all the Sky Movies channels. I checked a few of them out and I didn't have any audio problems on those either.

As much as I hate to see people out of work (especially during the crunch we're all in), HMV as a company seems to have been run by the same kind of idiots that ran GAME into the ground.

I was in their Sutton branch today; the 'sale' was pathetic, even compared with other shops on the high street. They're just completely uncompetitive and kind of deserve what's coming.

EDIT: Also:

If HMV did concede defeat in its attempt to trade itself back to health by calling in administrators, it would deal a devastating symbolic blow to the future of the British high street.

It would also put more than 4,000 jobs at risk, just days after the camera retailer Jessops announced its demise, with the closure of nearly 200 shops and the loss of almost 2,000 jobs.

HMV is run by Trevor Moore, who recently took over having held the chief executive's post at Jessops.
LOL

HMV here in Ireland have the best prices on games. GameStop raised their prices as soon as GAME left the country, but HMV actually kept theirs the same. GameStop actually costs ~33% more for a new release. Hopefully they don't close the Irish stores, like they did with GAME.

My Graces F was just dispatched :D. Didn't think I'd double dip after playing the JP version, but at that price I can afford to support the EU release + get some of those first print goodies.

You might get stuck in limbo

I really doubt they'll be getting any more from any supplier, it's not like the day 1 edition is made any more.

I ordered a few days ago when it first went up so I expect a copy, I wouldn't be so sure today :(

Well my order has been shipped.
It said in stock when I ordered but knowing zavvi you would have been right.

Now I only have to wait 3-4 weeks for it to arrive. If it arrives...

Back up to £33 now...

I was umming and arring and left it too late. But it's probably for the best. I have too many games to finish and a JRPG is not going to help matters. Need to try and cut down on buying too many games this year, I think.

Wow, that's the cheapest it's been since the £6 release shenanigans. Not going to bite on that until I can get it digitally though.

Seems decent...

Welcome back, oh Lord of Cheapness.

Er... so the hut have an offer to get selected WiiU games for £19.99 (including zombieU) if you buy a pack of 'joystick junkies' boxer shorts for £14.99
