Anyone know where to get Ni no Kuni and Ken's Rage 2 for cheap? So far my brother's managed to find both from Game.uk for 80 Pounds.

Any chance of a rule where people can only post deals and any requests for 'best prices' of mainstream games are just referred to the many games price tracking sites? I may be a grumpy man, but it gets annoying seeing people being that lazy.

And in that vein, Tizoc, it takes seconds to check one of these:

www.find-game.co.uk

or

www.gamestracker.com

or

www.best-game-price.co.uk

or

www.gamespider.co.uk

or

www.gonetomorrow.co.uk

or

www.gamerscorner.co.uk/price-comparison/

or

www.gamecost.co.uk

or even

DISCLAIMER: I haven't visited all of the above as they are blocked at work so YMMV, but they all came up on the first page of a simple google search...

I agree. I always thought the point of this thread was to post great deals that you find, not ask others to find them for you.

It usually is enough to visit find-game and gamestracker to find any info you need in my experience. It literally takes 30 seconds.

Maybe a middleground would be acceptable?
i.e. "The best price I've found Assassins Creed 3 on the 360 is £30 from Zavvi, does anyone know any better deals?".
That way it's not outright asking others to do the work for you.

Thing is, if they did know any better deals, in theory, they would have already posted them in this thread. Generally I would say, if you find a deal better than what find-game (or equivalent) can see (or it's a chance bargain that will go quickly), then it's worth posting, otherwise, people should be using the trackers.

Anyway, just my thoughts on the matter, not like anyone has to listen to me :)

Importing something at £14.39, (converted) who wants a bet Royal Mail finds a way to charge me an £8 customs handling fee anyway?

Dunno if it´s Euro legislation or country specific, but over here it´s 22 euro (around £18) before you have to pay import taxes.

Just 2 days ago I finally received my copy of Dokuro, after 41 business days at the hands of postal services and customs. Value of the package was 24 euro and so I got charged 21,92 euros in total for clearly largely exceeding the 22 euros.

A serious kick in where it hurts most to the cheap arse gaffer : the nuts.
with the wallet being a close second.

Royal Mail said:
Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £40 are also liable for VAT.

You should be fine but I wouldn't be surprised if they used a different conversion rate to put you just over £15.

Well if they do they can return to sender at their expense. I am not being held to ransom again, happened once before when the import limit was at £18. Paid about £1 VAT and £8 handling.

This might be far too specific to be of use to anyone, but if you live around Kingston, have some (now useless) HMV vouchers, and planned to spend them on music:

I recently imported Persona 4 Golden from Canada, which was about £30 value. No tax or handling from Royal Mail. I can't remember if the parcel was marked down or not, however.

I've had problems with DHL in the past, mind. They oh-so-kindly paid that import fee for me, even though it probably would've passed customs without a hitch, then multiplied it by 7 or 8 times due to a fixed "handling fee" of about £15. This was back in 2004.

Ireland by any chance?

For people taking up the Banquet Records offer you might want to pop into HMV Kingston anyway and pick up one of the the remaining Killzone 3 Helghast collectors editions lying around.

I went in on Tuesday and after speaking to one of the staff (very chill guy, when he mentioned the Tales deal at Zavvi I almost asked if he was a gaffer lol) I got to have a look at some of the CE's they had lying around. For some reason because the retail edition of K3 is in the blue cross sale the Helghst CE is going for the same price; about 15 quid (it goes for 80-100 on Ebay usually).

@Persona86: Not laughing at the people potentially losing their jobs dude but the idiots that thought appointing the CEO, who presided over yet another failed british business, was a good idea. I'm suprised the shareholders went along with it.

DHL and other major package delivery services automatically report (the value of) any package to customs, I think. So if you use one of them, I think you will always have to pay an import fee (and some "handling costs" which usually exceed the fee).

I have the impression that the cheaper the shipping costs, the less chance your package gets intercepted.

Never had any problem importing from Canada (VGP) myself. *knocks on wood*

Then why didn't they block NeoGAF? It doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't make sense to me either, I'm just glad it's true! My best guess is either as Samurai_Heart says it doesn't explicitly mention games in the URL or there's someone in the IT department who's a Gaffer and so has unblocked it for their own use (hello and thankyou if that's the case!)

I got an email from Zavvi this morning saying my Tales order was delayed but they are still trying, think I'll try to cancel it if they're sending out the normal.

Anyone know the cheapest place I can get Hotline Miami? Still kicking myself for not grabbing it at £3.49 in the Steam sale. GMG did have it for £5.99 I think but it's gone from the site so I'm assuming they have none left

I know people were unhappy about posts like this but I checked a few of the price comparison sites listed above and found nothing. I'm guessing they don't cover DD only games?

Nice price. Can I activate this in Steam? Also, do I need to create an account with a fake address to be able to shop there?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to this Steam/DD world of shopping. Loving the potential for bargains so far!

No need for a fake address, you can use this from everywhere (and it's always $4.99). Also, it's DRM free.
Don't know about the Steam code, but I'd guess no.

No, this is a DRM free copy of the game - Steam is a DRM encumbered rental service. GOG are international so you should have no problems with address.
