Called them and ended up speaking to a Manager, they admitted changing all the orders, their reason being they realised they would not be getting the Special Editionss.
I stated to him, why would you change the orders when that is the customers proof of what they "ordered", by changing that you are taking away that customers proof and making it look like they ordered the standard edition. It seems to me like you are just trying to cover your tracks. He did not really have an answer, except he would pass my comments on to the people who decided to do that.
He offered to give me an on the spot refund, which I am annoyed about because I have already sent my copy back,I am not sure he would have refunded me if I had not said I had already sent it back or not.
He also stated the Ebay listing was infact standard editions which yet again were listed falsely.
He tried to put all the blame on the manufacture/supplier several times, Kept saying they ordered special editions and did not recieve the correct ones, and they had contacted them and they had been told they will not be getting any. I asked him how exactly they expected to get Special Editions when it was a day 1 Edition and was released 5 months ago, also how no one noticed until 3 days after people complained.
He claims they had been listed as Special Editions when they ordered them, which I do not believe for a second.
I will be filing a complaint and sending a second email to the ASA and OFT to inform them of the change of the Order Details. I have thankfully got a screenshot of my original order status which I took in case they did try to pull something, and lo and behold..
