Have Zavvi responded yet about the Tales of Graces F incident?

Noticed that my order info on their website changed from:
Tales of Graces F (Special Edition) - PS3

to just:

Tales of Graces F [PS3]

It still says Tales of Graces F (Special Edition) - PS3 in my order email and order dispatched mail. They can't hack my email account to change that, I hope...

that's their respond. LOL
flowsnake, can you check your order status on the site?

Someone from HUKD got the refund and kept the game...well that's the solution, but I won't be calling them from Poland...lol And I believe, that's my first and last order from that site, uh...

Any cheap Move starter packs around? I remember seeing them around £30 before Wonderbook was released and now they're back to about £50. Mainland EU shipping is a must.

edit: LOL, Finnish online auction has several Move starter packs - with asking price of 60€. Cheapest I've found has been 50€, but would prefer to find one for <40€. Around 30-35€ would be fine.

It's kind of ironic that I would manage to get the SE stuff since I don't really care at all.

Remember to follow this thread on HUKD:

Called them and ended up speaking to a Manager, they admitted changing all the orders, their reason being they realised they would not be getting the Special Editionss.

I stated to him, why would you change the orders when that is the customers proof of what they "ordered", by changing that you are taking away that customers proof and making it look like they ordered the standard edition. It seems to me like you are just trying to cover your tracks. He did not really have an answer, except he would pass my comments on to the people who decided to do that.

He offered to give me an on the spot refund, which I am annoyed about because I have already sent my copy back,I am not sure he would have refunded me if I had not said I had already sent it back or not.

He also stated the Ebay listing was infact standard editions which yet again were listed falsely.

He tried to put all the blame on the manufacture/supplier several times, Kept saying they ordered special editions and did not recieve the correct ones, and they had contacted them and they had been told they will not be getting any. I asked him how exactly they expected to get Special Editions when it was a day 1 Edition and was released 5 months ago, also how no one noticed until 3 days after people complained.

He claims they had been listed as Special Editions when they ordered them, which I do not believe for a second.

I will be filing a complaint and sending a second email to the ASA and OFT to inform them of the change of the Order Details. I have thankfully got a screenshot of my original order status which I took in case they did try to pull something, and lo and behold..

Don't know if this is 100% true, but apparently GAME have significantly cut trade in prices on multiple games now the HMV/Blockbuster are in trouble. Pretty shitty of them for those that have no interest to build a collection.

Far Cry 3 on 360 this morning: £13. Luckily they price matched CEX...

CeX would be my first point of call anyway.

Very hit and miss, the line I used to get when I bothered with GAME was "they're not a game specific retailer".

Seems like Zavvi are starting to take a less empathetic approach to Tales complaints now, no compensation, keep or return. I will be phoning them Monday morning, they shut at 4pm today and I missed the cut off.

My local blockbusters are all shutting and offering 30% off preowned and new games, unfortunately the prices aren't that great to start with. Holding off to see if they drop more.

500gb PS3 - £198 in Costco.

I don't recommend the new slims though. I bought one and the build quality is terrible and it makes a horrible whining sound when reading discs

Remember how I mentioned (and bought) Touch my Katamari for Vita was 17€ on amazon.fr ?
Well, the hut has is for £9.99/13€.

Mine came with a 10€ off coupon for Ridge Racer Vita on PSN. I redeemed it and have no idea if it worked but the game is now 5€ for me, which I doubt is its base price.

I am looking for virtues last reward (3ds) which should be out since november in the uk and france, but it's still not out anywhere else in europe. I checked all uk stores I know of, couldn't find it, it's out of stock everywhere. so maybe french gaf can point me towards some french shops or some uk shops with some stock left?

btw: I'd prefer to pay with paypal

Not satisfied with Zavvis response for my two queries regarding the game:

Hi Benedict,

Thanks for the message regarding your Tales of Graces F order.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, unfortunately the stock we had on order with our suppliers/manufactures of the game was just the standard edition. After speaking to our purchasing department they have informed me the information we listed on the website was passed over to us by the manufacture of the game which was incorrect and has effected a couple of other online retailers like us.

What I can offer is our returns address for you to send this back to us for a full refund no replacement will be offered for the version you have ordered as we do not have any stock.

If there's anything else we can do please don't hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Kieran

Not satisfied with the answer.
This is between you & your supplier. Your customers should not punished for this.
If you require me to send the game back for a refund, I demand that you will pay for my time & postage in advance.
Postage will be between £8 -14. It will take about an hour of my time to go to closest post office & mail it. I value my time for this at 700sek (£67)/hour for loss of work time & time with family.
Other people have been answered they’ll get a full refund & keep the game. Why the difference? I have been a loyal customer @ Zavvi. Do you not value that?
I have still not received an answer why you changed the order description. Changing the order history is really quite serious because you are changing the contract post fact & therefore on the verge of fraud.

Well nobody will ever agree with the terms you laid out.

Looks like you just bought the standard edition then.

No, I bought the Limited Edition. I have proof of it, order email and order despatched email. They don't have any proof that I bought the standard edition. The only thing they have done is altered my order status on their web-site after my purchase, that is something I call fraud.

We have an business agreement that they have broken.
I am not in agreement with their support and answer to their reasons.
I have not agreed to their reply.
That means we have two different opinions of the situation.
I will complain to Swedish and UK consumer rights authorities.

Do that. They shouldn't be pulling of that kind of bullshit. F*ck*ng zavvi.

You get paid the equivalent of £67 an hour in Sweden?

See, what you should have done is just emailed them saying it didn't turn up and got your refund that way.

I have not received the game yet. Needs to take more than 25 days before that becomes an option. And I'm honest, would not feel right if receive the game and did that. I'm not like Zavvi.

No. That is including extras.
I am an archaeologist and if somebody would hire an archaeologist per hour for a excavation or similar it would be about that, a little less.
What I earn as a salary is less, way less.

This is hilarious.

All this over some shitty little art book.

It did get me to take a look at my art book, after seeing like 5 seemingly important characters who i've yet to encounter in my 15-20 odd hours with the game so far the cruel reality that this game is far from over hit me and I don't think I can muster up the will to continue.
See what the art book did to me?!

"All this". He didn't really do much than send an e-mail. If you consider that a lot then I'm curios to know if you ever done any effort in your whole life. :P

This isn't about artbooks or whatever. It's about consumer rights. You should get what you pay for.

So just bin the game, or give it away to a charity shop or something. I know I wouldn't be paying to return it if they were at fault (especially if I lived abroad), and it's simply not an amount of money worth getting into a protracted affair over. You gain nothing immorally, Zavvi lose out on their scam, the world is in balance.
