I sent some codes out, check your PM's!
Oh man, the game sounds amazing. I just got back from work.
Anyone has an Xtra code? : (

Well that was disappointing. Didn't feel any tension throughout. One jump scare was slightly effective and the game felt like a sluggish third person shooter with a lot of melee enemies. I doubt I'll pick up the game.
I take it you skipped Dead Space 2 as well?
1. Looks good. Plays good. But if my character is wearing an environment suit with full face helmet, as in the previous games, why is he shielding his face while walking through a snow storm?.
Again guys,it's a 15 minute playthrough of a small area of a 10 hour game or so...I am sure there will be plenty of dark corridors inside an abandonned spaceship or underground cavern and stuff like that, reminiscing DS1 and 2...have hope ;P![]()

I always hesitate to talk about play time because everyone is so different in style. But DS3 is a significantly larger game with a lot more content. Every playthru I've seen has been well over 10 hours. Maybe it's possible, but that would practically be speed running.
Also, there is plenty of space and abandoned spaceships in DS3. I've seen people spend almost some people's entire DS1's playthru's worth of time before even getting to the ice planet.

I can't believe that this is what Dead Space has degenerated into. I think I'd rather play the first game again.I just watched a playthrough of the demo here from IGN

holy shit this game looks amazing.

Ha, yeah, we called that out when we were doing it. In the end we decided that it was "emotionally right" even if it was factually wrong. It helps describe how Isaac feels about this new environment and how threatening it is.
It's a science-fiction game where the player's character is wearing an environment suit for survival in hostile working envionments, including space walking.stop his visor from being covered in snow? thought it made sense.
As someone who was bored halfway through Dead Space, didn't play DS2...this demo did absolutely nothing to entice me to try 3.
Why would it? From the sounds of it, Dead Space is just not you type of game.
I understand artistic license. But it's just snow.
Real-world examples:
If someone is about to perform a weld, a lowered welding helmet protects from retina and skin burns from the intense light and sparks. A welder, wearing a helmet, doesn't weld with a hand raised to shield his/her face.
A motorcycle rider wearing a full-face helmet with lowered visor might raise their hands to protect themself in the event of a collision, but I've never seen a motorcyclist with helmet and lowered visor, cycling in the rain, while using one hand to shield their face.
If Isaac was in his suit, without helmet engaged, and walked around in a snowstorm, I could understand using his hand as a shield to protect his face from the elements.
And this seems moot since during the demo attract sequence, you do see Isaac outside in the snow, without helmet engaged, and he's shielding his face. That makes sense.
Yes, it's a nitpick over a minor observation. In the grand scheme, your development house appears to have another certified hit.
Kudos for the tweaks made to gameplay.
1. Much faster Kinesis grab.
2. Removal of the aim deadzone. This has improved the combat experience.
3. RIG interface is as polished as ever. Slick, quick and intuitive.

Well it seems to me that they tried to change the formula to gain a different audience. That just seems to piss off the old fans (see DMC, Halo 4, Killzone 3) without any gain to make up for it.

This is news worthy :O

One of the things that's fun about creating these things is that you get to decide what happens whether it "makes sense" or not.
Woop!
Anyone with a code please PM!!
I've been asking since page 10 =( lol
p.s I don't have have facebook & don't want it either!

This really eases my mind. Also, there is plenty of space and abandoned spaceships in DS3. I've seen people spend almost some people's entire DS1's playthru's worth of time before even getting to the ice planet.

His nitpick is valid since you're going for a "realistic cinematic experience" little details are what make the experience.
Do I have to keep the demo on my hard drive for that unlock to keep?
I think his nitpick is invalid since it's actually a normal human reaction to protect themselves even if they are already wearing protection.

Not really. Comparing a really slow player's progress to a really fast player's progress isn't very informative. You could do that for any game and make a statement about it that is prone to misinterpretation.
