Heracross is based on this guy, who while cool, is not "two thirds of my body are giant horns that look like a giant mouth" cool.


This is a textbook example of some opinions being worse than others.

In the anime a bunch of Pinsir make Heracross run away from their tree. This reveals the information you could already tell merely by looking at their designs. Pinsir is a thug who will take what he wants from inferior looking Pokémon.

Which isn't the case for Pinsir either.

Yeah, and then Ash's Heracross shows up and wrecks everybody's shit. Pinsir just a bitch.

He didn't replace Mewtwo; Sonic did. Mewtwo's data and models were actually put into the game before Lucario, but the time that would have been spent finishing Mewtwo and Roy was instead spent creating Sonic from the ground up and integrating him into Event Mode and Subspace Emissary.

So in short, you're blaming the wrong blue guy ;P

With that said I find it really offending a pokemon design is compared to sonic of all things.

Only pokemon to me that is like this is Zoroark. It looks so stupid.

I remember Pidobe evolution, failing even to take a quarter of the health of my Swadloon with a flying attack. Granted he was using Air Slash and I had the Eviolite but still it's supposed to be 4X effective. That line is just an embarrassment.

Sprites aren't weird enough to be demakes. Part of the "charm" is that they looked deformed/mutated Pokemon.

And I'm gonna try Simple Woobat with bred Stored Power. I heard it becomes a powerhouse with Calm Mind -> Stored Power.

Pidgeot = utter garbage, one of the worst fully evolved pokemon in the game. has next to no redeeming qualities.
Noctowl = just mediocre really but nowhere near as bad as pidgeot. has decent SpD and hypnosis, but overall very mey
Swellow = incredible speed + pretty useful ability makes it a good albeit "difficult" pokemon to use. Unique too, and one of my favorite Pokemon &#9834;
Staraptor = paragon of bird pokemon. Staraptor is awesome. hits like a truck and has incredible moves for a bird Pokemon like Close Combat. Intimidate & Reckless are really good abilities.
Unfezant = mediocre. around Noctowl's level, maybe even a little worse. Unfezant doesn't excel at anything.
