I make second checkout with 1 copy. And now my un submitted order convert to Order Submitted. I think unsubmitted order means that you have stuffs in your cart.

I was charged for second copy:

Update: and now it is Order in Process.
 
Just placed an order without reading up on the situation since they were all sold out before when I wanted one. Now it looks like the whole thing is just a fiasco though and I still probably won't get it >:(
 
Did you guys already have a Namco account to be able to check order status?

I can't use the login fields as it says email is invalid. The only way I can check my order is inputting order number and password, so I can't see whether the order is unsubmitted, cancelled, in progress or what. :/

I also never received an order confirmation email, just the PayPal payment receipt email.

I ordered two copies, the first about a minute after it went live and second maybe an hour later. The first was paid with a credit card, the second with Paypal (and I've already been charged).

It's possible they're just canceling one because I wasn't supposed to order two, so it's going to someone else. Fair enough. If they cancel both...FUCK THEM.

Did you just get this now? It doesn't mean you definitely won't get them. Several others have orders that already shipped and they received this same cancellation email.

So, who knows at this point.

The box seems to be pretty flimsy and are the contents really just put in there like that, so they can tumble around during transport, or did he remove the stuff that would hold them in place before making the video? In any case, at that price i'd expect a more sturdy box, hopefully it doesn't get dented during shipping.

Nice to see the box has a sleeve though, that should solve any aesthetic issues i've had.
 
Reminds me of those GC boxes Crystal Chronicles and Four Swords and such came in. But man, I really expected something... sturdier for 90€.
I guess the really nice Wizard's Companion + some cheap plush kinda justify the price but still...
 
Another day, another disappointment.
No movement on my order on Scamco's, DR's, or UPS' websites.

Hopefully next week.
I wonder if they'll at least reimburse me the $12 I paid for expedited shipping, if I complain enough...

I guess the stars just aligned for me in regards to the WE and guide. I picked up the guide on Tuesday at GS, only preordering it last Friday. They said they wouldn’t be getting anymore. And my WE is in transit, scheduled to arrive tomorrow, although I did order July 1st.

That said, I’ve certainly been on the short end of the stick before in getting collectors editions/hard to find games, but not fucked as hard as all of you. I am so sorry. I really wish you all luck in getting your WE.
 
Is there a number to call them and play innocent and be like "Uh...I ordered a game and I know the release date has come and gone and I was wondering what the status is?"

I feel bad for you American folks who've been forced to order through Digital River :( hope you manage to get it sorted out okay!

On the flip side I'm glad us Europeans got allowed to order it through standard places like Amazon, it was pretty cheap too.

I left a comment on the unboxing video asking about the inside of the box and Ian Higton (or whoever at EG answers the comments) confirmed that everything is loose on the inside, the book isn't even shrinkwrapped, wtf. It better not get scratched or banged up. it's bad enough we don't get the CD and the other stuff, but they couldn't even spare some cardboard to hold everything in its place?

Can anyone confirm the NA copies are also packaged loosely? It’s probably the same, but since there are more items in the box, there is a chance they may not be able to move around as much.

I really hope the book is not damaged, the main reason I bought this version was for that book.

If you like to purchase collector edition strategy guides, then you should make a point for this one. It’s a well-made book.

Also, it seems it is already being hard to get a hold of, from what others have been saying. So I would pick it up now if you have any inkling in wanting to purchase it.

This whole thing is a fucking joke. People are getting different stories with different results.

I ended up ordering as many CE guides as I can find locally in case they all flake out on me.

It was a hassle finding the regular game as well. For something that wasn't well advertised, this thing sure was a pain in the ass

There are no reports of any cancellations from the link that showed up last night.

Of course, no shipments either. However, I have a feeling those may have a better chance of going out than some of the orders on the 17th. It's DR, so yeah.

I feel in that way too, because in invoice it says: "Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition Club Namco Exclusive " without "SOLD OUT! " as my 17th order says.

No, the NA version is much better packaged, it looks really nice when you open it and even has some art on the inside. You can see it here:

Though i've had another look at the EG unboxing video and it seems that there is a piece of cardboard underneath the book and another one between the book and the game case, it's easy to miss. With the book being as tall as the box and with Drippy on the side posing as a cushion, the book should be fairly well protected. Now i only hope the WE box itself doesn't get any dents on its way to me.

My question is, is this a NamcoBandai issue, or something caused by Digital River, or both? I would think the overstock problem would be due to Namco, since DR is just the distributor and organizes the online orders. Or does DR also control their stock of games, as well?

Also, I am not sure what the minimum requirement is for a reprint, but any worthwhile company is going to ensure their customer base is taken care of on a fuck up of this scale. It may not have been their fault, but for Namco to show they are a good company, they should do a reprint. And I’m pretty certain it would still sell out.

Or does Namco just not care? I am sure they know what has been happening.

It's seems that link is one that was given by CS for re-submitting order to thous who update billing/shipping address. But it is valid even after using. So my thoughts that they have little stock for something.
 
Sorry to hear that some folks are having a difficult time with their collectors' copy of the game, but it will be worth it. I'm kicking myself for not pre-ordering that with all of its goodies, since the game has turned out to be so much fun.
If a copy of the collectors' is hard for me to get a hold of I may just buy the hardcover strategy guide. I hear it has tons of art and interviews
