Yeah mine is in Nashville too. Delivery is set for Monday :(. I would have paid for extra shipping if I never it was not going to be shipped today instead of Monday....

Actually, a few people said this happened to them with Digital River in the past. They would recieve their package and get a shipping notice days later.

I'm hoping that's the case for a lot of us....
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't figure out the trick to getting the UPS tracking number, and I trust UPS to be generally more competent about this stuff than DR is.

... Actually, yeah, if it weren't for MyChoice I wouldn't have realized they shipped my Microsoft Store order back in November in two packages, they only ever mentioned one. Assuming they used Digital River there, but if they did for the Surface RT they must have for the games.

Got my shipping confirmation, huge sigh of relief. Now let's see if it actually gets here.

Data dump: ordered at 10 AM PST on the 17th, been in "order in process" limbo since. Two-day shipping (har har so much for that).

I got a shipping confirmation. Ordered on the 17th right at 1pm EST using PayPal as the payment method and the slowest (cheapest) shipping method.

Of course I won't be convinced I'm getting it until I see it at my door.

The worst part of this is how we as customers are being treated. Namco and DR will not give a straight answer and won't even put out an apology. Hell Namco just advertised the psn version a hour ago on facebook and the comments were all complaints.

If I am not mistaken, they cannot legally bill your card until they ship your item. This is why I'd be somewhat relieved if they did charge my card.

Keep in mind an authorization hold and an actual charge are not the same thing.

If they charged your card and didn't ship your item, i'd dispute the fuck out of their charge. Your credit card company is happy to dispute any charge since they hit them with fees for every dispute and the customer (you) always has the benefit of the doubt

When i visit my account is 120$ short, is there a chance this is an authorization hold ?

And what would be the difference when i cant use the 120$ since they dont even appear on my account anymore

Is it true we dont have to pay brokerage anymore? How do I tell them that?

Call 1-800-742-5877, select the Brokerage Inquiries option (option 3). Once the rep takes your order number ask if there are any brokerage fees.

They're running a facebook contest right now to give away a copy of the wizard edition. That's probably someone's cancelled copy.

You can confirm yourself:

Give UPS a call: 1-800-742-5877
Option 3 is for their brokerage inquiries, they'll ask for your order number and you can check with them to see if the brokerage fees were covered. A lot of users here have called and confirmed that there is no brokerage fees. Obviously that doesn't mean brokerage fees are covered for everyone but there hasn't been someone claiming otherwise yet.

That's a load off. I was feeling terrible for paying $150+ for this. That's part of the reason I was even contemplating reselling.

Sad part is that i never see MS bother with JRPGs again :(, but they sure are the best for western releases

authorization is just a temporary hold, not a charge.. nonetheless you still don't have access to those funds. (this is still a positive sign, means something is actually in process. my card hasn't even been hit with a authorization hold much less a charge)

you haven't been 'technically' billed for it until they settle (finalize) the charge.

if you used a debit card, unfortunately you have no access to those funds until they release the funds by cancelling the hold. What you ultimately want is for them to charge you because that's a sign they shipped your order.

Just got the shipping confirmation (with legit tracking URL) from Scamco as well.

I imagine UPS won't update until much later tonight or early tomorrow.

The knot in my tummy has eased a little bit.
Still a god damned shit-show for almost everyone involved though.

This is way worse than the Darksiders II ass-fuck.

I am only 4 months in US and cant really say i am a card expert :), i had never used a card before in Greece

Since I haven't received any cancellation notifications for that one, apparently it's going to be shipped out sometime soon. I just checked the reference number on UPS and I got a hit. For such a gorgeous book, better late than never, I guess.

Ordered on 1/17 at 9:59 PST via credit card with standard shipping, received an email confirmation at 10:03 PST. A charge showed up on my card on 1/22 as pending, as is still pending as of now. If I use the Bamco order number on the UPS tracking site, I get a shipping label created on 1/23 at 5:51PM with an estimated delivery of 1/25.

Got my shipping email at 3:27pm EST - my bank charge is still pending, and UPS is still just showing a shipping label. But I have a shipping email! There is no way this will appear tomorrow if it's not already on a truck, so I'll refrain from the dance of joy until it is in my hand, heh. Good luck folks!

They are officially mad :), the situation is becoming laughable

IMO they should just reprint the Wizard and send it for 60$ to every cancelled order

Also kindly provide a PSN version to play in the mean time

Then maybe the have a chance that frustrated gamers will buy one of the their games ever again

Okay, now I've got time to do things about this. Never got a reply to the e-mail I sent this morning about be accidently deleting whatever e-mail they sent me.

Questions:
1) What's the phone number I should be calling?
2) What's the creation date on everyone's orders? Mine is 1/8/2013, but my order date is 1/17/2013 though. The not order I did today to see the Order In Process page says that not order today was created today, but no order date.
3) Does anyone have a shipping confirmation, but nothing on the UPS tracking using the order number?

Then she tells me everyone from the 17th was getting cancelled and she's "really sorry". I told her she was wrong because I was reading here about people ordering on the 17th who got shipment notifications. I ordered at 1:03pm EST. Did anyone past 1pm order and get a shipment notification yet? I mostly saw people from right before 1pm.

Not to mention it would be voiced by the usual suspects. No amazing Welsh accents and the like.

Just got an email from Barnes & Noble about my strategy guide order listing it as shipping on 2/13. I suspect that this means any orders placed with them at this point will be fulfilled using the paperback reprints, not the hardcover first editions. Just a heads up.

I am not trolling. But I think the lady I talked to is. The way she was rushing through everything, she just wanted me off the phone, telling me what I want to hear. I'm already planning on buying a regular copy tonight at Best Buy--I've lost hope for my WE.

Hah, lovely. Well then I think that's a pretty legitimate issue to raise to their customer service people, and I really have no plans of supporting either company if they don't do right by us with this fuck up on their part.

No problem, just be careful not to use your debit card on your online orders, for cases just like these.

Yeah, RE:Ni No Kuni, this is strictly a problem of their distribution chain being total garbage. Not a problem of manufacturing these items. Not to mention administrative errors like arbitrarily cancelling orders.

Yeah, it opened around 2-3am. The link's probably a good 10+ pages back, but it doesn't work anymore. No idea if it was leftover from people who's credit cards cancelled or what, but a few people managed to grab it. So lucky I got a spammy email from Amazon at 3am and forgot to turn my max volumed tablet off.

I dunno about XSEED, but Atlus very rarely do proper special editions. The only one I can think of is the Persona 4 one from Amazon.

TBH i would totally have wanted him to play as Drippy. this 13 year old isn't doing it for me. he's just so flat.

You think the main boy is called Drippy?...

Haha I just noticed the thread title update, I knew DR had a bad rep going in but it's impressive to see this getting picked up by Kotaku and Destructoid of all places too.

Well I'm really upset now.

First two reps I spoke to told me that my order is in process and that it will ship eventually.

Then I called to talk to a supervisor in hopes of getting more information.

First of all, they have absolutely no system to check what e-mails they've sent to who. They told me this specifically.

Second of all they said that most orders from the 17th will be canceled.

So this doesn't make me confident in anything.

Outrageous yes, but still 100x better than not getting the thing at all. (Which is what seems to be happening to everyone I know who ordered one.)
