Did anybody get screwed out of Technika, though? It took for goddamned ever, but they delivered as promised.
Let's throw out that kid-like logic of Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft making every video game ever, and run with the idea of Microsoft publishing, that for some reason Level 5 put Ni No Kuni on the 360 instead and Microsoft wants to bring this amazing exclusive over to the US. And they do an LE too, but it's also through their online store.Wouldnt it go though MS since they are the publisher, like LO case where both localization and ditribution were some of the festest i have seen in my JRPG gaming life
Turns out Digital River runs their online store, so we lose anyway.

So I ordered one last night (using a $20 coupon from a cancellation e-mail) just for laughs, and now that one has a shipping label.
There are two that I ordered on the 17th, and neither of those have made it to the label stage (and ostensibly at least one was cancelled).

If we want to do some sort of letter campaign about getting more of the wizard's edition manufactured (extreme I know, but this situation is certainly unprecedentedly weird/crappy in all the online orders I've ever made), who should we write? Does Namco Bandai have an america-branch ceo with an accessible email or something like that? Googling unsuccessfully right now.
I already have a plan, buy the DS version, find the book scans in english or from youtube and stick translation stickers in the japanese book
Then watch the game walkthough in english and play the DS version
Maybe buy the PS3 version when it is under 20$, i will not give them more than that
I will save me 40$-60$ that way and give Namco the minimul ammount possible, which i really want to do

I have to admit, I'm glad at least one person who ordered through that sneaky link was not only someone who had their order canned, but used the coupon for ordering it. So rather than getting more business, Digital River and/or Namco Bandai lose $20 that they would've gotten if their service weren't so awful in the first place.
I agree. It worked out beautifully.
Now that you mention it, I don't think so. But man, those delays really were horrendous.

Yeah, it's oddly fitting. But at the same time I fear those orders are being fulfilled from the original 2012 customers who had issues because of expired CCs, address changes, etc. They should have been handled first before re-opening orders.

My order made in September for the cost of 118 dollars finally shipped and is UPS trackable........5 business days until it gets to my house. No email confirmation though.
I wish we'd all get free copies of the guide like the MvC3 fiasco, suppose this wasn't quite that bad though. Hope I can get a refund for the shipping cost.

It's worth it for me considering how rarely I get free time for gaming these days; I'd rather take advantage of it when I can. Obviously it's not the same sort of value proposition for everyone.

I finally got my shipment confirmation email earlier today ( I ordered August 2012). If I didn't want this CE so badly, I would've cancelled by now :/

So, after cancelling my order placed right at 10 am on the 17th, I placed an order last night as soon as the new link went up, thinking what the hell.
I have an email confirmation waiting for me for this order on the 24th now and shipping confirmation. Of course, I used the 20 dollar off coupon as well.

Not really, for me personally. When you consider how few console jrpgs come out that I want to play at all these days, dropping extra money on an awesome looking one like this is something that only happens once every one or two years max.

Definitely, though I wonder how many of those spotted that and got on.
Ideally they'd only open that up, like, a week or two later, once the dust was clear and they were reasonably sure anyone that cared or could afford it did so. They screw that up though, and now it's even more of a mess since I don't doubt a good chunk of orders were from people who never got on in any form or even intend to scalp/horde extras.

This is some bullshit. Orders from last night are getting shipped when my order from last week got cancelled. How can a company be so incompetent, I just don't understand.
My understanding is that an alternate page was set up to allow people whose orders were wrongly cancelled (so 2012ers) to reorder and get priority. Only, this being the Internet, it got posted and since everyone could use it, many did.

That would make some sense, they are trying to make up to those that ordered first
Now of course that does not mean that they should do nothing for those that ordered in 17th
