I'd say just save up and buy an after market head unit with an RCA jack or iPod USB cable. Much better sound quality. What brand is this? I've been trying to get one of these for the longest but can never decide as I always see bad reviews for most of them on Amazon.
LA has some good stations. Although it really depends on your tastes.
I only listen to The Current and NPR
everything else sucks
It's the music if you are listening to a station playing anything new.

Yep, the current for me as well. Dunno how I'd get through my commute without it.I only listen to The Current and NPR

I feel like radio died with the 80's, and I wasn't even around then.
106 KMEL in the Bay Area is better today than it has been for the last 15 years or so.
Probably because Hip Hop itself is better today than it has been for the last 15 years or so.

More places should have a station like The Current.

I stopped listening to the radio about 12 years ago, haven't missed it at all.
new music confuses me, it seems rock music stations play folk guitar music and weird pop synth music or something.
And yet you keep listening...

Just look at this fucking asshat and tell me your blood doesn't boil.
Are you all talking about 89.3 in the Twin Cities? That is a great station. Minneapolis/St. Paul has a bunch of good radio though. KFAI, Jazz 88, and KMOJ The People's Station are all gold.
I feel like I'm listening to my dad in this thread. Listening to music on FM Radio in this day in age?
all this shit
I still have no idea how it works. (But I never really bothered trying to figure it out.)
How do they work?
This has basically be my thing for the past many years now. I don't mind listening to the radio, but even our alternative rock plays the same 20 songs, but then a few other older but still super popular songs. I know my GF who listens to a ton of that alternative and alt 90's rock thinks that there is something wrong with me or I am just trying to be a hipster, but she also doesn't listen to as much music as I do, and she is the type of person who cherry picks songs from an artist but never look into anymore music by that artist. I am not saying that makes her a bad person because I get that is the way that most people listen to music, but I enjoy listening to an entire album as an experience and if I like that album, look into their other stuff.I tune to NPR then never turn away from it.
I love it when someone bitch's about the radio only to play his/her personal music player filled with radio songs. I guess bubblegum is better when you get to choose the flavor aye?
Naw there are always good stations if you live in a college town
I had 2 radio stations playing the song. They were actually in sync with each other.
