You mean the camera spinning as if you are drunk? I hated that. The pace should keep up though, better than sitting there for 10 minutes while you wait for your attack to happen, damage to get dealt, the occasional spot of rain or a sandstorm brewing in the background -.-

Actually, I never really noticed - with this being the 6th gen, a lot of "trope" teams will become possible. Starter teams, vendor trash rat/bird teams, starter bug teams, Pikaclone teams, pseudo teams...
I'm fine with zooming like in BW, but the panning will get really nauseous after a while.
I was gonna copy pasta the Froakie "Get out" gif but eh, you have a Froakie avatar.

Pseudo trope teams have been around since gen 3 unfortunately...
Froakie is the best water starter of all generations. It's so damn cute and blue is my favorite . And I love the cloud behind him

Also I wonder what Pikaclone we'll get... and technically you can already make your own Pika-clone team: Pikachu, Marill, Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga.

Well let's see:
Squirtle is a blue turtle, It is really cool, second best water starter.
Totodile is a horrible crocodile, I would had preferred it to be green rather than blue
Mudkip is horrendous, easily the worst, I looks like wooper but way less cute
Piplup is super cute and it's a bit behind Squirtle
Oshawott is average, I don't like it much but is cute
Froakie is gorgeous, and I love everything about it: specie, colour, EVERYTHING

Man... thinking of how many different animations and models they have to create is insane, but I guess there are ways to get around that.
For each Pokemon, they can program an animation for a "special" attack, another for a "physical" attack, maybe extra animations for signature moves, animations for sleeping, paralysis etc. Oh, and animations for moves that involve off-screen movement, like fly or dig. That's still a lot though, but I'm assuming they've been working on this for quite a while.
