Although being self conscious plays a part in me not getting naked infront of people i also just don't like it, i feel violated. And it's not that i am scared people are going to look at my kit and laugh because it's above average, i just don't enjoy or want people looking at me naked.im too self conscious of prying eyes to do that! i head straight for a cubicle when im changing to go swimming, but if its just my sister im okay with because pretty much we were brought up that way with our mom.
What about public sauna? (I like it)
All my fantasies crushed...Hi all,
This is based on a discussion my girlfriend and I had at dinner last night (yup). I mentioned that I'm totally comfortable getting naked in public changing rooms - say, a swimming pool or a spa - and that I find it weird when I see grown, adult men obviously wasting time to be alone, or otherwise trying to undress under towels. My girlfriend then said that this is far more common in women's changing rooms and the only ones who just flat out get naked are old women who just don't give a fuck.
So, GAF, how do you feel? Are you comfortable getting your kit off in front of other people of the same sex? Would you if it were mixed? Since when? I know I didn't when I was a kid.
(FYI I'm a 24 year old guy and I'm slightly chubby but not physically disgusting or anything).
Nudity never was a taboo when i grew up. We went to nude beaches when i was a kid, swimming lessons in school were nude and mixed gender. More nude beaches as a teenager, then army. So no i don't feel uncomfy in public changing rooms and i find it a bit silly and immature if someone does.
Don't travel to the US with that mentality. You might get arrested.
Seriously.

Oh man, that hair dryer to dry your balls move is the shit. I remember staying at a hotel and finding a hair dryer in the bathroom and used it just for that. Good times.
I live in Finland and I've been swimming every week for years so I've been in public and private saunas and changing rooms A LOT. Never had any problems with that and the thing is, nobody really cares how you look or if you have a small penis or something.
If you go to a public sauna with your swimsuit on here, there's a 90% possibility that someone will tell you to take it off.
I'm curious. Isn't there a chance of men getting boners from seeing hot chicks in the mixed saunas? That's the only thing holding me back from going to one.

I am comfortable doing it but I rarely find the need to shower at the gym since I am headed home soon after. Plus I have to bring my own towel which is annoying.
Everyone keeps their eyes to themselves so I really don't understand why people are so shy about it.
wait, nude swimming lessons in school? This is really weird
wikipedia:nude swimming said:Before the YMCA began to admit females in the early 1960s, swimming trunks were not permitted in their pools,[10] and high school swimming classes for boys sometimes had similar policies, citing the impracticality of providing and maintaining sanitary swimming gear and clogging swimming pools' filtration systems with lint fibers from the swimsuits. These practices were common because of the perception that there was nothing wrong or sexual about seeing members of the same gender in the nude, especially in these indoor contexts among equals in 'birthday suit uniform'. In some areas, this extended well into the early 1970s.
In some English schools, Manchester Grammar School for example, nude swimming was compulsory until the 1970s.[11] This was also the case for some US high [12] and junior high schools.[13]
This is the reason why all hair-dryers were removed from my gym changing rooms. If you wanna dry your balls, bring your own with you. Please don't use the public ones..Oh man, that hair dryer to dry your balls move is the shit. I remember staying at a hotel and finding a hair dryer in the bathroom and used it just for that. Penn (from Penn and Teller) told a 40 minute story on a podcast of how that can go horribly, horribly wrong, and how the little grating that's meant to act as a heat shield doesn't work when it touches human skin.Oh man, that hair dryer to dry your balls move is the shit. Who the fuck does this?Never get nude in a fitting room, I'm not trying on boxers 0_o but smh if people try on boxers and don't buy them, gross.
I get naked in pool changing rooms, who cares it's only for a few seconds, also get naked and shower at the gym but then put a towel on
