You can play the entire game single-player. Every quest. There is no online-only content as there was in Tri (Alareton, Deviljho and Jhen Mohran).

welll, that's technically true, but that doesn't mean it'll be easy. the game is like 20 times more accessible and enjoyable when you have people to play with.

Bronze can have a lot of different colors depending on the alloy composition and the finish applied to it. The "classic" color is brownish, but there are ways for it to look greenish/bluish gray, especially if it's aged. This is made of bronze:

I'd imagine the lag would be pretty bad. I've played with people from other regions in Tri (via some homebrew trickery, I think) and the connections weren't exactly the most stable.

Looks that way, so far. A few people asked Sven about this (as a bundle with the game) and he gave them the same answer that he doesn't know anything and that only Nintendo really would. Sounds about right.

I've never been exposed to a Monster Hunter game before, but I love my 3DS and from what limited knowledge I have of the series it seems like a franchise I would enjoy.

So, would MH3U be a good entry point into the series if I'm playing the 3DS version? I'm not sure how crippling it is to not have online functionality, or how easy it would be to navigate without the Circle Pad Pro.

Yes you can transfer saves between the two system, unless Capcom added it to the western release, you will need to download the save data transfer tool of the eShop for the 3DS version.

Yes, but it's a bit dry. There's little story to speak of, so most of the fun of the game comes from the challenge of the fights. It's fun on its own, but fucking golden with friends.

It's decent enough in single player. You can always get the Wii U one and go online anyway. There'll be no shortage of Gaffers on there.

Try the demo. If you like what you play there, the game has a lot more of that that you can have fun with on your own and you'll likely get your money's worth.
