//: Global Starcraft II League 2013: killing time until HotS

That game brought back some horrible memories of gomtvt for me. Hoping ryung can go through tonight. I like his style and it would be nice to have a tournament with some terran left near the top.

I am so glad ryung is out. I hated his IMBA IMBA remark at IPL.. seriously you make your money with playing a game and the best thing you can do is to type imba in the biggest tournament of the year? gosh what a kid

hope he drops to code b
The true son of Boxer right there. Maybe he can pull himself together now, and take down Losira.

yeah no.. he is one of the four betrayers (alongside with moonvidia, hyunghaemon and yangbus)

hilarious to see Artosis even tried, would have been so sad to see him actually manage to take 1 game off someone
He lost to the guy who utterly destroyed everyone else, so no real shame in that. Unlike Bisu, who should just retire already.

Might've managed it if it wasn't PvZ. Not saying you can't win PvZ, but I think thats probably the hardest to fluke a win in.

What? I mean obviously I'm not saying their is any shame whatsoever for Artosis, I'm even surprised he attempted it, though I'm sure he didnt really have any intention of going far, was probably moreso for fun. I just meant it would be pretty embarrassing if someone actually lost to him.

Chat on the twitch stream

420dong: mvp so good that blizzard literally had to nerf terran so no one could win then he managed to play hard enough to break his wrists and still win with terran

MKP already ahead by 1? I must have blinked and missed the game.

Holy shit at the marauder juggle.

Keen went CC first and MKP responded with a bunker rush on the low ground at the ramp, and build a reaper, brought 3 SCVs with it and reinforced with a marauder. It was very cool.

and no joke! When i see MKP shows off it is a sight to behold. He is absolutely in a class of his own.

Will have to catch it later. All of MKP's games tonight were worth watching.

Very happy to see MKP go through especially when he is playing like that. Actually i'm a big fan of all the terrans who have gone through so far.

I like how both keen and MVP play so hopefully one of them advances as well.

Also dat medivac micro.

On other news mma is eliminated and crank too.. I just hope the 4 betrayers will never enter gsl again.. Too bad one is still in code a (ryung)

Would be sad if the best SC2 player of all time didn't go through the first stage of one of the last WoL tournaments.

Fungals like that are bullshit but MVP played surprisingly poorly there. Gifting his 2 banshees away early on was a game changer imo. They can make such a big difference and it was pretty poor just leaving them above creep like that.

The lack of any attempt to make walls anywhere was just baffling. There is just no excuse for that anymore. He was completely open to any counter attacks and i don't know how hw expects to beat any zerg unless they refuse to do runbys ever.

The lack of siege mode in that big engagement also cost him big time. I mean sure getting one big fungal shouldn't win the game but the infestors couldn't have just sat right there using fungal if he was sieged up with any of his huge number of tanks. That plus in a situation like that you probably need to have your vikings splits into an area that is bigger than the size of 1-2 vikings.

This guy is remarkable sometimes.

Ugh I'm back GOM, I'm back. Your shitty stream quality and steep price could only keep me away for so long, I just missed the Archon. And the usually pretty top level games.

That being said, I just paid for the Twitch access, but SC2Ratings and other spoiler-free listing sites all send me to gom.tv to watch the VODs. Is there anywhere that collates the Twitch matches in a spoiler-free way? I love the way SC2Ratings does the SPL, it's a huge reason I subbed to Proleague because it's such a convenient way to watch the next day.

Wow MKP almost went 4-0 in his group. Wonder what would have happened if he played MVP?

Anyways I'm mad I missed out on the matches thanks to exams and I don't have the money right now to subscribe and watch VOD from Gom but I'm happy to hear MKP passed. I just want more Zergs out of the Tournament!

Also hope someone takes out Life, not because I hate him but I want some more GSL champs, not the same person again and again or Zerg for that matter. I hope this is MKP's first GSL champ win but a Toss winning would be good too considering there hasn't been one in a while if ever from my memory.

Some really overall solid play by RoRo. I'm impressed. Needs to work more on utilizing late game army splits and drop threatening and runbys, but overall a good start.
The TvT's with Keen and MVP were fantastic.

Amazing that MVP and the player who beat him first are not in Ro16.

Expecting a lot of choking tonight from Nestea and Taeja.

Oh, that old injury cropping up again, I thought it was a new one. Regardless, that's bad news. :(

I expect Soulkey and Nestea advancing, also Innovation and DRG tomorrow.

That noblesse/soulkey series was so incredibly average, not really code S standard. This infestor-less zerg play feels like a blast from the past and i'm not sure it will work out.

code a preliminaries are over

pretty cool to see ROOT with a player in the GSL and I'm glad to see the king of code a return to code a
