Kotaku's rumor was the other way around. They were saying the game got canceled. Hopefully I have reached out the truth to the public.

Very exciting if true. I am already looking very forward to LR with much zeal :)D), I really do want to see if this wait for Versus has been worth it. For people whining about how 13 has 'destroyed' the brand, we all know a new FF with a different style will draw those who did not like 13 back in right away.

edit: nice hint lol I am not sure why Versus can't be 15 and still have the FNC mythology either.

Not really. Rumor was, Versus got canceled, and that is it. Besides, I used to be against the idea of Versus turning into FFXV, but slowly I am coming around to it.

Don't believe his lies. Zeal is trying to mimic Verendus in order to make him transpire as a joke character of all sorts. He's exposed now.

It's too hands off for me. I preferred 13's combat to it, actually. Because at least in 13 when you throw away the "auto-battle" option you have a fastpaced combat system where you have to make quick choices to win. 12's was just too slow for me.

(Versus was allegedly a fantasy game after exiting the initial, modern-day themed city)

So... I'm all for them just making it FFXV.

Zeal is a liar. See how he backed out as soon as I've exposed him. All of this being a cautiously thought-out plan to decimate all Lightning fans from NeoGAF. You guys grind their gears, you guys are the worst. I mean, who in their right mind would find Lightning appealing? She just feels so disconnected from the rest of the game. No worries tho. I've got your back, folks. All I have to do first is getting over my own demons. We all know how the story ends once the hero has managed to do that.

I'd love to hear a fully detailed rundown of what his, "100% reliable source" that told him. He's really got nothing to lose. It's his friend that would be in trouble if anything.

Chances are most of this thread comprises a large amount of "creative writing" anyway...

He honestly hasn't said anything that SQEX hasn't already said themselves. Game is still being made, will be shown this year, will look amazing (Hashimoto has been bragging about it for a while), will be the future of FF (they've already said they've got their eye on action RPGs for a while), has a new lighting engine, looks very different from when we last saw it.

The only other thing he added is the name change, which is just obvious at this point. Whatever it turns out to be, it won't be FF Versus XIII.

Anyway, hopefully we see it soon. I'm sure it'll be pretty awesome, even if it has Prompto (lol) in it.

Edit: And yeah, as Shinta said, Zeal just rehashed what SE already stated themselves. Three persons claimed to be insiders in this thread. Only one actually is.

God damnit that sucks. One of the worst parts of FF12 was its horrible level design, it never felt like a "world map" rather just a fricken terrible hub system game. I don't want tons of hubs, I want a giant world map that its fun to ge around and explore like FF7 -9.

I wish they'd go back to Stella's old design. Her new design is a little too "cute" looking and doesn't fit as well as her old one.
