For the hypeI am so anxious.
Please... Super Turbo... Based Broads... fucking please...
Yikes. >_<It's counterable by SOME of the characters in the roster. Olimar, for example, can't really do a single thing about it. Not even against DK.
rule lists for brawl tournaments are some of the funniest things ever
Yikes. >_<
Still, that seems like an odd ruling. Techniques have been discovered in the past that make characters trash and not been banned. I suppose not for Smash, but it's not unheard of in fighting games I think?
Hilde was banned in SC4 and Akuma in ST/HDR.
Unless you played Melee, in which case they're depressing.
Why would that be the case? The ruleset between the two games are not all that different (barring stuff like number of lives and stage selection).
And to answer your previous question, planking is not banned, just limited. Even with the limit, people have still managed to perform it for prolonged periods of time in matches anyways.
HOLY CRAP
This build of Skullgirls has "Donate" as the loss message.

"Donate!" at the end of combos as well. lol
Each character in the build has a bunch of extra color palettes, but that is about it. Maybe you should check your TV settings. Skullgirls absolutely SCREAMS on correctly calibrated television. So much respect for all 3 of these groups going in so hard for their games. With so much invested, I feel bad for those that dont win.
Also is the SG build being played on stream using an updated color scheme? I havent played in a while and its looks so much brighter than I remember.
Melee doesn't have any tentative rules that were tossed on there because the game is absurdly boring when played optimally. In Melee the best possible strategies get you wins, in Brawl they get you banned. Wobbling is the exception to this and a sore spot on the ruleset in my eyes, but that doesn't come close to the number of checks in place to prevent players from being too defensive. Why would that be the case? it sounds a lot funnier when people don't dress it up with the term "planking":
playing too defensively is grounds for disqualification so you're only permitted to play a little defensively

I thought Mike Z already shaved his head.
It's not invincible though.there's playing defensively and then there's poking your opponent and turning invincible by hanging off an edge for 8 minutes

Perhaps I'll drop another 50 on SG. What should I get? A voicemail?

Just don't pick characters that can't deal with planking.
it is, by definition, defensive; it's not my problem that playing the game with the explicit goal of winning destroys people's idea of The Right And Honorable Way To Play My Favorite Video Game
I will buy you dinner if you come to LA.
