The thought of buying a second 670 has entered my mind on occasion, but I've never used SLI. I wonder if it'd be worth it to keep up as the new consoles release. I'd need a new PSU, though.
Got the 6950 myself. So sad to think of it as one of the lesser cards now.
Yeah, but at least I got mine for a pretty damn good price just a few months after it was released. Directly converted I gave 1700SEK (195€for it when it was 2500SEK (300€
here in Sweden. So I sure got value for my money. But now I'm wating for whatever comes next from Nvidia (if only Titan was 500 bucks, I would so buy that thing..) because this card just isn't enough for my needs anymore.

Or you could sell your current 670 and get a Titan when it comes out, would be about the same cost as getting a new 670+psu with the $300~$400 from selling the old one
Go ahead, beneath the grime of filth and dirt that is the shoddy business practice of EA lies a good game and a worthy successor to DS2 ( with the caveat that I've only done 33% of the SP chapters as of yet ). I'm not naive, it's not without its flaws but I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first two.
I'm still on my 6950 as well, but I'll upgrade once next-gen hits and Nvidia's cards next line of GPUs are out in the wild. In the meantime, remember that you can unlock your 6950s and overclock them to an almost comparable 6970 performance.
You hero. Are you loving this game as well?
Every game should run at 60fps, and there should be built-in frame limiters for the weirdos who prefer 30 to use. Unfortunately, it's usually the other way around, and I have to spend a ton of money to be able to push those 30fps games to 60.
Fucking LOVE this game.

Gross. Try a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dead Space if you want that "cinematic" feel.
Like I said, I can totally respect the pursuit and adherence to 60fps. 60fps is awesome.
Regarding your disgust and suggestion, I can only elucidate on my original point. The reason I like 30fps has much more to do with cinematic feel than does a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, hence why there are far more full-frame movies than there are 48fps hobbit fiascos. As an animator I would like to think I understand a fair bit about motion, and the way it informs the viewer. 60 frames are too many to see per second to allow for much suspension of disbelief, and that is key to a cinematic experience. Movies work desperately at all moments to get you to forget that they are sequences of images matched up to audio. And they succeed.
Games are of a different nature, and therefore can thrive in 60fps, but to me it also allows time to recognize the little bits that make the whole, and detracts from ingesting in the same way I ingest a movie. Aliasing, textures, shaders, clipping, fps fluctuation, gameplay, aspect ratio, etc. all does as well. Not every game should be like a movie, but that's why I qualified what I said with '3rd person games'. Many tend to strive for a cinematic approach.
So, I accept your 'gross', it's your preference, but find your suggestion wrong and assuming.
Saying "gross" doesn't mean I'm disgusted. It was a lighthearted comment, so you don't have to "accept" anything. I do think it's weird to think 30fps is "cinematic" because it's not, unless you mean made-for-TV-movie cinematic. I do get annoyed that 30fps is considered "acceptable" for some developers - like Double Fine - and would rather see that mindset change, though.

You beautiful bastard. Any chance I could grab your ini from you for that? I'd been tinkering for AGES but could never get it right
If I have to play a game at 30 for whatever reason (unless it's on console) then chances are I won't play it. I probably could've gotten a stable 30 out of Saint's Row 3, but because it's an unoptimised piece of shit and not a hard limit on the game itself, I didn't touch it. So many hours clocked up in it (according to Steam) but maybe about three or four hours actually playing it.Every game should run at 60fps, and there should be built-in frame limiters for the weirdos who prefer 30 to use. I think my head just exploded. Also, I'm buying that game right now. Dude's Australian, gotta support my bros!
Amazing shotsThis one was taken at 3840x2400, which unfortunately nets me about 30fps on average![]()
I like to imagine that TheVampire just spends his entire day on Gta4mods.com hitting F5 until something suitably ridiculous gets uploaded![]()
KyleN do you know if the Coop campaign in DS3 is the same as the single player campaign?
I do check it every day but not that often lol
But its great new mods still are made for it every day.
Its modding scene is just as big as Skyrim

I've messed around a bit more since those screens, so the ini's a little different, but here ya go.
