Then why is it they've been better with him out of the team?

Is he really the main factor for Bayern's increase in quality?

The team spirit after last season has been strengthened. They aren't bullshitting around anymore.

Dante. Ribery. Martinez. Müller's form. These are all more important factors than NOT having Gomez in the team.

Juventus are hoping to have Kwadwo Asamoah back from the African Cup of Nations for the clash with Celtic in the Champions League.

The 24-year-old was part of the Ghana side that lost to Burkina Faso on Wednesday evening in the semi-finals of the competition.

But the Black Stars still have one more game to play in South Africa, as they face Mali in the third-place play-off in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport though, the Bianconeri are pressing the Ghana Football Association not to play the midfielder as they want him back for the trip to Glasgow.

Juve travel to Celtic Park to play Neil Lennon's men on Tuesday February 12

things look good right now but im gonna wait till the end of the season... even with all those factors, im not sure if i can trust them :/

Not that much, the only two that have shown talented near Oscar's. Are Paulinho and Ganso, even though Ganso is an injury prone

I've heard good things about Paulinho. It's a shame the price/work permit deter a lot of sides from buying Brazilian players. Mind you, Santos is Brazilian :(

Wouldn't say he's the main factor, but it certainly is a factor. Can't see Pep persevering with Gomez considering the type of player he is.

Me neither (regarding CL)... the path to the final will be more difficult this time. :/

I dont even believe in the final! we used up all our champions league luck just before the final 2012. for some reason i dont see us going that far again. of course we have a great team... but i dont know.... we had the title right there and we didnt grab it. every season will be so much more difficult from now on :/// :(

Who knows! But yeah, the expectations aren't high for me, this year.

Well if Bayern reached the final in 2010, then I don't see why this side won't.

Prandelli's Fiorentina deserved better that year.

Messi extends contract through 2018

This afternoon Leo Messi extended his contract with FC Barcelona through June 30 of 2018. The signing ceremony was attended by the player, President Sandro Rosell, Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu and the Director of Football Andoni Zubizarreta.

Messi added two additional years to his existing contract, which was set to expire in June of 2016. The player, who joined the Club when he was 13 years old and made his first-team debut three years later, will be 31 when his contract expires.

He is just jelly that Neygod isn't going to his shit clubs.

I'm sorry, but we don't sign Brazilians. We're too mechanical for them.

Majority of Premier League clubs vote to introduce spending controls

Interesting.

This will introduce Financial Fair Play and restrictions on salary increases.

There are some interesting things brewing this season. I particularly liked the findings of the investigation into sorting out the transfer system in the EU.

Stuff like capping the maximum transfer fee to a percentage of salary earned by the player at his current club and giving a bonus to smaller clubs who have their players bought from them. All in the name of introducing more competitiveness between clubs playing quality.

Apparently Mourinho sent Rui Faria and Karanka to keep tabs on Yarmonlenko, from Dynamo Kiev. Any thoughts on him?

Do you just hop on every bandwagon that strolls by? :lol

And trust me, I want Neymar far, far, faaaar away from Madrid and Juventus. As if Madrid wasn't a tumultuous enough place as it is, without adding the little prima donna.
