You don't need an analogue stick because you use the mouse to move precisely in a direction. A lot of players don't need to touch A and D except to strafe, and for that they're pretty much ideal.

I never could be bothered to adapt to WASD
Used to have:
Arrow keys: forward, back, strafe
Rt ctrl: Crouch
Rt shift: Jump
Enter: Use
Other actions put on the mousewheel, End, Page Down and Page Up
Used to get hand cramp after an hour or so, and back pain/eye strain from sitting with my hands over the table so close to the monitor
It'd be great for me if Sony and PC developers collaborated to make DS3 support a game-level thing. Obviously I could easily adapt to the Xbox controller, but I <3 my PlayStation controller
@Randdalf, analog sticks are much better for precise character movement in my experience

No wonder you don't like keyboard controlling then, WASD is the only way to go.
I play fifa and fly planes in battlefield with my dualshock on pc, works fine if you just emulate it as a 360 controller. I don't like the 360 one much either.

I wonder if the MCMs factor in native languages for their interactions with staff. A lot of our staff come from Pakistan/India and have decent English, but I could see it being a problem with customers needing help. Even worse, a lot of them are from Slough, and Christ knows what language they speak over there.

To chime in on the KB+M/Controller discussion on the last page, I'm an Console gamer at heart and was pretty damn good at shooters. I guess that's what happens when you start playing shooters like Halo and CoD at the ripe age of 8. I'm still not as good with the mouse as I was with the controller but that will come some day.
Also it helps to have a good mouse and keyboard. I'm still using my three year old knockoff cheapo keyboard and platformers are downright impossible with these squishy keys.
