No, I don't think they would. That would be kinda of deceptive and unusual.
God Warrior was included in the film's theatrical runtime though, wasn't it?
It also just seems really unlikely they would have 10 minutes of additional footage to put in. 1.11 and 2.22 only had 3 and 4 minutes of new scenes added, and those took much longer to come out than this one.

Hmmm... you have a point. The listing on the site does say that the God Warrior short is included on both the BD and DVD, and yet the Special Features for both don't include any mention of it, so it's probably part of the runtime. It just seems odd to force an unrelated short as part of the main feature on the home video release. >_<

Depends, if its the full OST, its incredible. A lot different then the others. A huge use of pianos. Sounds a lot more sombre and emotional and less bravado. Its actually incredible.
I have a feeling this might just be the single tho, no? Hopefully its the full soundtrack! If you haven't heard anything from it yet, your in for a treat!
The entire OST is floating around on the web like youtube.
I personally loved the OST, just like 1.0 and 2.0. I actually think it was best of the 3, but its just my personal opinion.
And it actually includes the theme song by Utada Hikaru, which is also amazing

Oh man... So good. I loved 2.22's OST. I listen to it all the time, hope the HK release is by Aug/Sept, my hype can not be restrained.
So this is going to come with the full 2 disc soundtrack? Because I agree, its the best of the 3 movies so far. The Evangelion: Decade soundtrack is my favourite out of them alll however, so good..
At this moment we don't know, but considering the past I think we will get compressed, 1 disc version. The OST is half the price of the blu-ray, so I doubt they will pack the full OST.
Man I almost bought the OST when I went to Japan. Good thing I resisted myself.

The subs in the HK release of 2.22 were adequate, but really not very good IMO.
Yeah I forgot about that. We normally get a shiro sagisu music from Evangelion soundtrack and then a full on Original Soundtrack, no? Excited. Still might get a standalone OST for collection purposes.
The full OST seems really good, so maybe you should get it if you really like it.
I was thinking of getting it when I was in Japan, but I didn't get it because it did not include Utada's theme song.

I've somehow managed to stay almost completely spoiler-free so far. My Japanese isn't very good these days but I'm still in for that first release edition.
Welp, that bit on the movie site is quite misleading, then...

I've been playing it safe by largely avoiding anything Eva period. I kind of assumed this thread got bumped was because of a BD release date which is why I'm posting here for the moment.

Seele's intentions were misplaced but not necessarily evil, until Gendo decided to play them and fuck the whole humanity over just to be with his wife again? And Fuyuutsuki just followed along in hopes to get his own time with Gendo's wife, which he very much wanted to fuck?

Did we ever find out where Asuka's father ended up?
A small point of contention I have with the show is that I can't quite tell how instrumentality would have been different in either plan...? The way Gendo did it positioned him at the helm but wouldn't the end result have been the same as in oneness/nothingness for all regardless of who 'won'?

I really like it too. God's Gift is awesome
iirc, SEELE's plan was to make everybody into one, whereas Gendo's plan was to do that and then let everyone go back to normal afterward. He didn't want SEELE's plan to be the endgame, but had to go along with it because Third Impact was something that had to happen, so he would let it happen then restore the status quo (but stay with his wife in the process).
That was in the original series anyway, no idea what Gendo's plan is in Rebuild.

EoE and the TV series are the same ending.
Not literally. They are two sides of a coin, sure, but you can still prefer one over the other.
That idea didn't occur to me until long after I saw it...my original interpretation was way more bizarre. :lol

I have never understood this argument. The TV ending is fucking weird, sure, but it actually ends on a positive note. The EoE ending ... well, I guess you could try to argue that it's ambiguous, but it's definitely not optimistic. The tone and the underlying message about human psychology and depression is IMO very different.
Sequel theory
Why does that make the sequel theory seem more likely?
That head is obviously Lilith's. When Shinji and Kaworu make it to Terminal Dogma, we see Lilith's headless corpse and the head explodes into blood with the rest of Lilith when Shinji removes the Lances.
And that's Lilith's true form. For some reason, during those 14 years that we missed, Lilith awakened and took on her true form and both Lances were used to stop her and Mark 06. Then Gendo cut off her head. That head isn't proof that it's a sequel.
