Why in the world would they copy XBL? The great thing about PSN is free. Online, YouTube, Netflix, etc.
If this is the case then MS should win this gen easily.
Money?

That controller almost has to be real for sure. Looks pretty good. Still not as comfy as the 360 controller, probably, but looks more comfy than the DS3. The light bar is interesting. Wonder if it will pulse red when you shoot and stuff like that.
Just a little? With tax that's close to $599$529 is a little expensive Sony.
I have a pretty good feeling that rumor was BS if for no other reason than the absolutely terrible publicity such a system would get. I guess we'll see.Not if they block used games, if rumors are true.
I think the psychological hit is not worth the $30. Just eat it. Release a "first" edition and charge 30 more. Sony understood this with the vita when they hit 250. I know the price points are not final but I wonder if crap like the ps eye is jacking up the price.

It just doesn't look "improved" much to me. I was hoping for something much more noticeable.
It would hardly be surprising if Sony started charging for online play.
Consumers have shown their willingness to give an extra $300 per gen to Microsoft to access services that Sony give away for free.
You can't really blame Sony or Microsoft now..you guys are the enablers.
A camera in every box, control the console with phones/tablets, a strong focus on non-gaming media, and pay-for-online. Sounds familiar.
That's what I've been saying. What if everything but online play is premium? Party chat, store discounts, free games, betas, etc cost money but everything else is free? Would kinda be weird cause online is free on vita.
Though vita is dead sooooo
That is not an argument, and just serves to illustrate my point - you don't like hearing the truth, so you try to denigrate an individual with sweeping generalizations. Either form an intelligent argument, or don't bother.
I assume that's how it will work. Basic online play stays free for the bullet point, but the social features and content bonuses are premium content. What if everything but online play is premium? yeah I agree. Live subscriptions have slowed but are still enormous. Netizens would get over it fast or get wii us I guess. Or play on steam. Which they should do anyway! Was thinking maybe this, but putting chat behind a paywall may irk a few. Still from a business standpoint I imagine they want at that pot of Gold that is Xbox Live subs. If they take the MS approach I really do not see a mass wave leaving for other pastures because where would they go? All the other spots where folks have gone to avoid Live, but I don't see any mass exodus. Go to Nintendo or PC? Ok.
I'm also not sure they can make anywhere close to Live money without doing so either.
Why are people saying triggers look the same?

Does amir0x really sound like that, haha
I mean, maybe you're right from a financial standpoint, but even if that's the case, losing Final Fantasy XIII wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back. I think PS3 hosted some great games (most notably the Uncharted series imo) since that announcement. PS3 might be in third place in the US, but it's hardly a niche gaming system only for hardcores. I think it might be doing a tad bit better than you give it credit for. I don't have the numbers off hand, but I'm sure it's software library support is a bit more substantial than gamecube's was, and no big third party releases have skipped Sony because of its lack of user-base.
I do not like the new controller. I was hoping they would redesign the triggers
We'll find out soon if Sony are also following suite. Not if they block used games, if rumors are true.

lol Playstation World? Really? This is a joke right?
The price point is going to be a huge key for me. More than $350 for a Sony console is a huge no for me.

Not everyone thinks the 360 controller is the greatest ever. Sony shouldn't try to be like them.

It's pretty clearly larger. I just don't want it to become heavy or some shit.I'll say one thing, I like that PS4 controller more with each new picture I see.
I have no idea what a #PS4 is, but I know you're going to like what you see tomorrow.

FFXIII was symbolic of what was happening to Sony, not -the cause-. It was an emphasis that this is the last game Sony had exclusive from third parties that could have mattered, and it was no longer available to them as a poker chip.
I think this should be fairly obvious as an illustrative point, because the end result is every single thing I said ended up being true - people can see what has become of the PlayStation brand and make their own judgments, but I think the market has spoken. The fact that people keep trying to act like there is some surprising thing I said after we have seen the results for all these years remains a mystery to me.
With that logic, MS should charge people for playing on XBL on the PC right? It isn't a closed system with one variable, stop oversimplifying pay MP = free $$.
Which part of that infamous quote is actually incorrect and not simply overly-colorful?
