Trophy pings will be awesome.
What won't be awesome is when it screeches, "Frag out!" every time you throw a grenade in COD.
My favorite Wii use of a speaker was in Silent Hill a few years back. I hope to see some similar things on the PS4.

Things never are on these shows. The devs always try to go into details, and the host are always "lol onto next joke". Understandable given the context. That showing wasn't for us.
I don't mind it, I find the forced negativity hilarious. I mean, how can you not laugh when someone says that the KZ demo looks no better than Metro at max settings? This stuff is gold.
Why is it that Jimmy Fallon gets all these early demos? Because he's the closest to a "gamer" we'll get with a Late Night host? Which is funny considering they can do a much better job at showing games at Conan even though admits he doesn't play games and doesn't like them much.

Zombi U uses similar aspects too as you can hear conversations on the controller; but that's Wii U.
Wii Party did some..funny things; like the minigame were each controller would emit a sound of an animal and you had to pick the correct sound/controller.
Possibilities are cool.
If you don't see the PS4 downplay going on in full force here, that's fine. I've played Metro at max settings. It's a beautiful and awesome game.
It doesn't look anything like Killzone.
It's more about how some people are having a harder time noticing the difference rather than failing to acknowledge the fidelity. I don't think that's an unreasonable thing to express.
Or you could just stop bundling peoples opinions into "dislikes PS4" or "likes PS4". We aren't all marketers. There's always parts of a new console that deserves criticism, and they always get it.

haha honestly the first thing I thought of was, what if a sound like that creepy sound from the movie Grudge starts playing through the speakers of the controller...it would be crazy

Imagine something like the Clicker sounds in TLOU coming out of that. I may drop the controller.

No More Heroes used the Wiimote as a phone when a certain character called you everytime before a boss battle, you would life it up to your ear like a cellphone then and listen. Though the quality was kinda crap so you would just use the options and turn the sound over to the TV.
