NVIDIA to release GeForce Titan

Well I'll be darned, looks like I might be picking up a new cooler sooner than I thought.

Thank you for contacting ARCTIC's support.

Actually, we already have 3 coolers that is compatible with the new GTX Titan. Namely:

- Accelero Twin Turbo II

- Accelero Xtreme III

- Accelero Hybrid

I hope this clears things out for you.

Best regards,

Daniel

And according to the GLS packet tracer, My Titans are real' close now - 50 minute drive by car, something like that.

:D

I did some basic temp tests.

Running Heaven benchmark at 2560x1440 on main monitor and other 2 monitors idle, I peak at 71c with my case fans on high. With 3 monitors active in Windows, it idles around 47c. My room is 70f for reference.

Time to start OCing and figuring out how this multi-display setup works :).

Very high with everything cranked to 11. Also downsample from 8K if possible, thanks.

So far Very High everything, TXAA High @ 2560x1600 stock clocks is giving me about 30-35fps. Hasn't gone below 30. GPU usage on both Titans in the 97-99% range.

If those are, shouldn't the Prolimatech MK-26? Thing can dissipate something like 350W of heat.

Anyone going from 680 sli to titan sli? Curious if Titan runs hotter in sli vs 680. I guess that's a bad question seeing as temps depend on the case and the model of the 680.

Whats it like with smaa x2? With my 680 sli and everything maxed out at 2560x1600p I was getting 55-60 fps (with aa at smaa x2). Curious what sli titans would get with the same setting.

I'll give it a try. Scared to exit out of the game lol

BTW with my previous post TXAA High my VRAM usage is at 3GB

edit: fucking swinging ropes are bringing the titans to their knees

Seems like I can hit +75 offset no problem, though I need to read a bit more about how boost works.

My temp target is 83c, with +75mhz it puts me at 1123mhz full load. Once I'm around 70c, it starts throttling the gpu between 1110 and 1123mhz. I'm not sure if that's related to the temp and that's why the mhz gets throttled, or if it's purely coincidence. Due to this, I don't seem to ever be able to go above 71c (which is a good thing?).

I'll OC more another day. Time for some Crysis 3 at 5760x1080 :D.

Yup, they also updated their site to reflect it, unlike Arctic.

However what's up with the size of that thing when the fans and everything's mounted? Looks like a 3,5 slot beast :P

Thanks. :) Just interested what to expect when I get my second Titan. Crysis 3 might not be the best game to compare since it just came out though.

Really? Even at Very High? Right now it's hovering between 57-62 for me. SMAA x2. Actually it says SMAA MGPU (2X).

I'm on the stage after disabling 'Project X' if you've made it that far.

Going to try and start the game up again (fingers crossed) with FRAPS

Yep. :P

If you have fans blowing right at it, you probably could get away with passively cooling.

Click the 'Frametime' box. Don't be a chump.

Yep. Although my fps dips below 55. It mostly stays 55 and jumps to 60 and sometimes dips to 45. I have all my settings set to very high or their max settings. Except for AA which I have set to smaa x2.

I know sethos was getting similar results with 680 sli at 1600p. Oh well Crysis just came out. Thanks for checking for me. Can't wait for my 2nd titan to come in.

Looks like my 26" tv won't be a good 3rd monitor to use in nVidia Surround :(. It won't let it get set to 5760x1080 since the tv's native resolution is 1367x768, even though it can receive a 1080p signal.

As a side note, Crysis 3 on the first level fluctuated between ~23-30s fps(sometimes 40, but rarely). 2560x1440, 4xMSAA, everything maxed. GPU at 1123mhz, i7-2600k @ 4ghz.

Time to hunt for deals on a Dell U2412...

Played a nice, long session of BF3. 2560x1600 maxed of course. Stock clocks:

Frames: - Avg: 101.678 - Min: 52 - Max: 200

Good stuff

Probably. Nvidia got to coast a bit with AMD being so behind. GK110 was supposed to be starting with the 680 card but they didn't have to make the performance jump so now Titan is the debut of the GK110.

In a way it is Nvidia screwing the consumer because they are charging a hell of a premium on what was originally going to be the 680.

I love the mentality that somehow it's Nvidia's fault that AMD/ATI are uncompetitive. These are the same people who blame Intel for AMD's failures in the CPU realm.

I've heard insider reports the 780 will be ahead of the Titan in gaming performance.

I heard insider reports that PlayStation 4 is like 10 Titans duct-taped together.

Actually with the rumors that Maxwell won't be debuting until 2014, most people believe that GeForce 700 series will either be stop-gap products, OEM-only products like the GeForce 300 series, or some combination of the two. AMD has already said there will be nothing new from them in 2013, so Nvidia can just sit around and watch the PS4 and Nextbox to debut before they make their next move.

I doubt AMD is all that worried about a $1000 card. Other than that they're more than competitive.

Oh look, it's our friend AMDguy ... I mean, specialguy. Welcome back :)

On another note, these cards are surprisingly quiet under load - I honestly expected a lot more noise. They make less noise than my Palits for crying out loud.

Made some time to squeeze the Titans into my SG09.

The 690 is still the best looking card Nvidia's ever produced, dat magnesium casing!

It's a tight squeeze! Do note Gigabyte does not provide an SLI bridge either... gotta have one on the ready.

Quick round of Hawken proves my theory, the Titans are bitchin at PhysX. On my 690s I see drops of up to 30 fps when I fire a rocket causing exploding debris; with the Titans the fps drops only 10fps and it goes back up in the blink of an eye. Sweet!

This is with SLI? I think your average is higher than mine but your high and low is what I get on 2 670's. I know 2 Titans has to make a bigger difference than that.

Finally!

And the infamous mousepad, which is huge and not as bad as I expected

Them graphics cards go nice with your man cave there :P

@2560x1600?

Yeah. There may be something going on with my system, not sure. Won't really be able to dig in and see until this weekend. That's why I asked if others could download the Valley benchmark for starters.

Yeah, I dnownsample sometimes with my cards. It may be my memory serving me wrong but it's not even in doubt that your 2 Titans outperform any config considerably.
