The guy that replied is from 343 Studios, I doubt he would reply that if the situation was stacked for the 'vice versa' version. There's a good chance those rumors are more or less it for 720 specs, I think.
It's pretty much nothing, but some are hoping and praying so they grab what they can.

Sadly no, I banked nothing in it beyond the tweet and its possible meaning/my interpretation of the tweet in relation with other information from reliable sources that somewhat corroborated what Payton said.
If he's not choosing to troll, that's disappointing. His first tweet was clearly alluding to information he is privy to.

So, maybe Ryan is a slightly disgruntled ex MS employee now. Not an uncommon feeling for MS workers.
The longer they are silent, the more truth there is that the leaked specs are true. All of the loud mouths in MS PR would at least say something. UNLESS, they are not going to make their launch date.

Things will get better once the systems are actually out. Even if there are fanboy arguments at least there will be actual games on the market that can be used as a basis for comparison so some real discussion can happen. The fanboy BS will die out a couple years in. I didn't see it much at all this gen on GAF since the gen was so long. No one cared after a while, it just became about the games again.

He claims he's not emotionally invested, but I've found he's more invested than a number of people in this thread and beyond.
His reactionary stance from yesterday still raises a hearty chuckle, he's become so invested he no longer realises just how invested he is. You'll find now that you've claimed he's too emotionally invested, he'll attempt the age old turn around and claim that is in fact you who is too invested or it is you who is reactionary, biased, etc.
It's projection 101 and it's all the more hilarious as he doesn't seem to realise he's doing it.

When do you think NDA's about hardware will stop? Because ideally I'd want a developer to compare the two kind of like how Carmack did previously.
Although to be fair that may be because the question of which console was more powerful between 360 and PS3 was debatable since they had different strengths and weaknesses. Assuming rumours are true, it might be unnecessary since it'll be a bit more cut and dry in PS4's favour
Next week? Maybe VGLeaks can beat them to the punch.
I think after E3 most of the NDAs will be done. We'll have seen numerous next gen games by then and the consoles will be a few months from launch.

Yes this is getting really silly now. I think a bigger factor that is a complete unknown is the fact that 2 rival consoles will launch very close to each other for the first time. How will consumers react?

Yoshida flat out said that thinking that PS4 would be comparable or even less powerful than Wii U was a pipe dream. He was not trolling, hinting, teasing anything. He gave a straight answer: you're crazy (dreaming) if you think that PS4 won't be much more powerful than WiiU.
Ryan Payton with his tweets is just calling out an attitude. He's calling out those people who act like their lives depend on which one comes out ahead, those who need websites like DF to tell them which version looks better otherwise they wouldn't even be able to notice differences by themselves (considering how irrelevant they are).
So it's ironic that not only his message wasn't understood but it was totally twisted into "omg, he's giving a hint about who's going to be moew powerful, omg!!".

Halo 4 is an Xbox 360 game. And I am not sure if you want to give a former employee information which is protected by a NDA.
Which would not make sense, because the situation is now very different (same architecture, easier development, much better specs).
