One month from today: BioShock Infinite

It's nice that it's a worldwide release. GoW:A came out yesterday here, most of GAF have already run through it. I wasn't spoiled, but it's not one of those games people spoil. I'm sure if there's any major twist in Infinite, it'll be impossible not to hear about within a couple of days of launch.

It's pretty dangerous to type in the game title on youtube.
A few examples :

Type in Halo 4, first result was
cortana dies
Same with Gears 3, first result
Dom dies

Face eating confirmed.

I was spoiled on Halo 4 before it came out, someone edited the Wikipedia article to include the spoilers.

You mean, most of the people in GOW:A OT right?

That sucks man. Someone on here spoiled Walking Dead for me a couple days ago and Im halfway through =/
I spoiled the end of RDR for a GAFfer, I marked a spoiler as relating to something earlier in the game than it really is. I felt pretty terrible, given how amazing that ending is.

Yeah, we've had some cool BioShock Infinite stuff on @IGN lately, but next week IT IS ON with BIOSHOCK WEEK. Monday starts with...you'll see

Yes can't wait.

I know IGN isn't known for journalistic integrity and excellence, but that's still pretty low.

I dont know if I really like the concept of Booker using
salts
to refill his Vigors
much like the EVE hypos

I mean what if they're
bath salts
?

Argh God dammit, it's so censored, I don't know if I should highlight them!

FUCK. QUOTING TEM DID IT.

I was looking up BioShock Infinite's release date (didn't know it by heart, knew it was coming out in March), and I was brought to the main site. Looked at the pictures of the voice actors for Booker and Elizabeth. Elizabeth's voice actress is very pretty.

Infinite also comes out the week I have a four-day weekend. Sweet!

Yes. Yes indeed. Courtnee Draper is a pretty woman.

And Troy Baker is a pretty man.

Funny how the two games Im looking forward to most this year involve Troy Baker escorting some attractive young woman around some extremely dangerous area.

Has anyone been playing the Industrial revolution flash game? Its quite fun but I haven't seen any kind of repercussions for choosing one side over the other.

Sweeeeeet.

I am still 100 percent dark on the game.

Oh yeah.

It's understandable for people to be concerned over the console versions, I think they'll be fine, but I also think Irrational should put out some direct-feed of both so people can really check them out. I can see why they wouldn't too though, you want your game to be seen at it's best at all times, so the PC version makes much more sense to show. People have been burnt so many times though. Just last week in the GiantBomb thread someone just assumed the PS3 version of Tomb Raider was shit because it hadn't been sent to press. I'm always surprised developers don't just want to comfort those people.

The lack of show is what concerns me. From a consumer perspective it screams "we are not confident in this product".

If you are proud of it, you would just show it right?

To me the most impressive route would be to show the console version and have everyone be blown away and then say "Yep that's running on an 8 year old system" all smug-like.

*Shrug*

The thing is pretty much everyone uses the PC version to show of the game. It's not something exclusive to Bioshock infinite.

And lots of them put out games that are of really unacceptable performance, especially in the last year or so. People are frequently getting crap ports of very major titles.

Any of you coming to PAX East? I'll most likely be with the team during our panel, but if you'll be there, let me know and maybe I can work some magic. :)

After Assassin's Creed 3, I have a right to be skeptical. :/

"Running" through Boston is a nightmare.

Yeah, although, both arms of TakeTwo have a fairly consistent track record of shipping solid performing games. Bully 360 was messy, but that's really the only glaring issue from them this generation.
