Rumor: Halo Infinite coming to PS5 today (or announced today). MCC coming later.

Campaign worth it for the best Halo gameplay ever alone, forget the flaws, none of the others have the grapple hook (best grapple in any game btw) so they're all shit in comparison.

Best since bungie stopped making it, best ever though, lol I don’t know about that one, it suffers from the same repetitive loop everybody on this forum cries about when it comes to other open world games.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
- 50 Tier Premium battle passes returning (20 free)
- Strafe Acceleration added! (Legacy)
- Fuel Rod Spnkr Announced
- Origin Map added
- Ranked Assault
- Ranked Squad battle
- New sandbox + Jumps added to ranked
- Minor forge updates

This is the first substantial update in 2 years, it tells me it might actually happen

In light of other announcements, it doesn't take a lot of heavy guessing to assume other games will be announced too.

The crass gif was on the today part.

I'm taking about the raw mechanics and combat, it's easily the best. Yes it would've been better in a more varied campaign, but just moving around and fighting is absolutely top of the line perfect.

Yeah if we’re talking about movement and traversal mechanics, it’s definitely better but I don’t think the shooting is better at all, it just doesn’t feel as tight to me, then there’s melee which is just fucking awful.

They wouldn't open the floodgates that fast, would they?

Though, I mean...if you're gonna rip the bandaid off and want to drum the hype up, they could benefit from that immensely.

Sea of Thieves did well for them on PS...a shadow drop or fast release of Halo MCC(Infinite probably meh) would be a huge event. Or Gears.

Yeah, I agree. I called him out on X for not posting sources. I posted here too just to see if anyone else could dig while I was working. I don't know if my productivity would increase with me staring at internet rumors all day.

Zuby is on the same level as coalteastword in terms of being a twitter shit poster. He was probably just paraphrasing the stuff directly from icon and adding his own spice on top.

If you like nothing stories sure, why not.

Gotta love how they tease a threat greater than the flood but end the game on the most anti-climactic cliffhanger we ever got.
Makes halo 2’s ending look a masterpiece in comparison

Nah they're giving Halo to Nintendo to announce. It will be on PS too of course, but they're not gonna announce it themselves or let Sony be the ones to celebrate.

God please don’t put this piece of shit game out and continue supporting it.

Guns don’t work, grenades don’t work, the physics fucking suck, the guns fucking suck, aiming does not fucking work.

Just release mcc and leave this piece of monkey shit in the past.

We are all gonna pay more for everything. How do you not understand this? This is not a left and right thing. This is an economics thing.
Not if he repeals the income tax, which was ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court many tines and to pass it was only supposed to be for the 1%.

They want to sell the game on both platforms. I don’t think Nutella gives a fuck about ‘letting Sony celebrate’ and will just want to give the game the biggest platform on each platform to convert in to sales.

Is this a port begging thread?!?
The idea behind port begging is that the people in the thread want the port.

That's not how economics works though. Companies don't have unilateral power to set prices.

I don't think you understand how this works. Let's say PC manufacturer has components they want to buy and import to make RAM. If they have a component that comes from China who has a 10% tarrif, in order to get the good through customs, they pay the fee to the government and then increase the price sold to a customer by the same amount to offset the tarrif value. The end consumer ends up paying the fee to get the end product. This has nothing to do with companies setting prices.

Let's say I sell a widget for $10, that costs me $3 to make. There's a new tariff that costs $5. Do I now charge $15 for it? No. It doesn't work that way. Because I am still selling this item in a competitive market. I look at my market and see that someone is charging $12 for it. I can't charge $15. I have to eat part of the tariff and charge $12 too, or less, and maybe plan to onshore my production so I am not subject to the tariff (THE POINT).

Yes they would because last year was a buffer that kept things from looking too bad for Xbox but this year they have to show some good feedback to at least make it look like a turnaround is happening.

They have a team preserving Xbox software for other devices.

Companies will add the price to the sales price to pass the cost into the consumer so they keep the same profit margin. It always works this way.

The goal posts have shifted so far they're no longer on the same field. The fact that Xbox fanboys are still clinging to Xbox brand name is just sad. Denial is a terrible thing.

The bullshit in the last 3 or 4 years pushed me to PC and I couldn't be happier. Gonna get a Switch 2 to play with my son and he keeps asking about a PS5 so I reckon I will complete my Infinity Gauntlet. Going forward, I will only buy GamePass, but no more MS hardware.

The problem with Gamepass is that it's so heavily dependent on console user base that Microsoft is abandoning because it's not really going anywhere on PC at the moment in terms of numbers. Their next step surely has to be to get Gamepass on PS5 and Switch, else the service will die as people will eventually no longer buy Xbox. It's almost like they make things up as they go and have no clear idea what they wanna do in gaming.

Good point and I am sure that is their next step.

This is the main issue. I think they would've dropped the console already if it weren't for this. Xbox is the only console that has GP and a big share of subs is there.

Sony and Nintendo obviously won't accept GP, so it would mean it needs to compete with Steam which it doesn't need to do on Xbox. Its a difficult situation I imagine. They need to find a way to convert Xbox GP users.

This. Halo infinite is the very definition of mediocre. I don't know why I saw people saying the gunplay was good when the all the guns feel like toys! There's no impact to them.

I'd imagine they'll have to strike a deal with Sony and Nintendo at some point and give up large amount of Gamepass cut. Gamepass isn't gonna work on Xbox anymore since they are basically all but abandoned that console and giving people little reason to own one. It's pretty obvious they did not have a plan for this in place (do they ever?) as they were going in different direction until higher ups at Microsoft decided to go third party.
