If the community was your local fgc spot with 4 regulars that suck, I'd agree. We're talkin about lol though, a community of millions.

It's not just LoL. It's highly competitive games in general. People take it too seriously, and the community becomes hostile. It's just not fun to deal with.

I play competitive games with IRL friends, because at the end of the day, when we're verbally attacking each other, we know it's in good fun. With online competitive communities where everyone is anonymous, I just can't summon the interest to endure the verbal abuse.
