Podcaster dude with glasses is a little grating. Patty, I think the dumptruck joke has past it's prime. Olly Moss and Barnett are awesome though, Fish I don't mind either.

Giant Bomb Thread |OT5| a festering pile of hate.

But this talk has me wanting a women on GB every once a while. I hope Leigh's experience didnt scare away the entire gender. Does Carrie still work with Paul Barnett?

Yeah, I really wish Carrie was on the Bombcast every once and a while. She was awesome on the Hotspot.

The Giantbomb chat ends every show with a fucking <> in reference to her accidently exposing herself. That might scare me away.

EDIT: I'm wrong. Not related to the exposure thing.

I don't get the whole <>.

I must of missed something because i have been following GB since it launched and i seriously do not fucking understand it and it's frustrating..

Jesus christ you couldn't be more wrong. The <> is in reference to a sign Vinny made to the camera during an E3 cast, just for funsies.

Thank you. I read that and was just thinking...wait...what? I could have sworn it was because Ryan and the others started putting fake Sims diamonds above their head in reference to a previous conversation during the E3 cast.

The <> came from a story Paul Barnett told about how the Sims team created a gang sign for the Sims at E3, which then got used in reference to that whole episode of the Bombcast because it was a total fucking shit show.

Not hard to find? What the fuck would i google? <>? Giant bomb <>?

Seriously.. Don't be a silly goose with your nonsense. Also after watching that video i remember now, i didn't get the <> because that is the sideways version.

Alright, fair enough. I guess it's easier to find once you know the context.

Sorry if I seem confrontational.

Hopefully they change up guests soon, I like Moss, Barnett, and Ashley but I am just not finding any of the conversation interesting.

Edit: OH SHIT, Carrie is there! Hopefully she is on one of the upcoming segments.

Was there a whole lot of sexism directed at Leigh? I remember most of the criticism being over her acting like an annoying drunk and ruining the show.

I've seen this video a bunch of times before, but I still don't get why it's 'absolutely epic'. Or at least epic enough to become a meme.

Did they make the sign to intenionally mock Leigh, or did the internet make that connection? Was it a running gag throughout the show? What does the sign have to do with her?

Can someone give me the full context on this, please?

Can we get a recap of topics discussed so far? I was out for a little bit. They talked about minorities in video games, they talked about semantics and how that relates to video games, they talked about the oclus rifts, and design. Is there anything Im missing?

I'm sure there was plenty of it, which is a shame, because it takes the attention away from the fact that she was being annoying and put it on sexism instead.

There's also the fact that those who had legitimate criticisms of Leigh's behavior were dismissed by her saying that if a man acted like she did it wouldn't be a problem. The whole thing was a mess, especially with that screencap with Ryan badmouthing her in a chat.

tried yesterday to give a little more context. I believe at that point the Diamond was a running gag.

That video seems slightly edited, because their mocking of her drunkeness was built up over time. Felt like that segment went on for almost an hour, or longer (memory from watching it live)

I'm kinda fuzzy on the whole story now, but from what I know it was originally a gang sign barnett brought up during the panel, then as the night went on Leigh started to interrupt people more, Vinny did the sign to make fun of the situation, then the others follow suit.

Between her constant yelling, her need to go on an in-depth explanation as to why Nazis are sexy, her repetition of "Fuck Boston!" and 775 million dollars, there were many times the people present made fun of her.

The sign, used earlier in the night, was indeed used to mock her, or at least the situation.

She was the recipient of all sorts of derogatory comments you can imagine. From bitch to cunt, and from hag to a whore. Some people went to her personal blog and typed in insulting comments to her for weeks. Their goal: make sure Leigh Alexander is too embarrassed and ashamed to join a GB podcast again.
