Will this have randomly generated dungeons?
The sprites are high def or redone like Etrian Odussey 4, right?
It'd be odd to use old sprites with beautiful graphics.

Thank you =}It'd be fine. Or with Soul Hackers that comes out on the 16th. But you can find the other games for cheap and they're great too so be sure to check them out.
I'll be playing Bravely Default![]()
This ain't Persona mang.
I hope they do get away from those in Persona 5.
Guise, will I be able to date that fluffy haired dude?
I hope they do away with dungeons entirely. Just make it open world with more dating.
The older "sprites" seem to be new scans of old official art. I don't think they look low resolution, but they don't really match the style of the new art.
Ok, thanks. They are definitely a higher resolution than Strange Journey, but they seem to have similar animations. They're all from the same Kaneko / New People art, so the designs will be familiar.

No...
The SMT games offer so much quality content that $50 is so not a problem.
keep that slope slippery. first ps3 region locks now this.
Any chance of a Strategy guide from anyone? There hasnt been any since the original Persona 4
Can anyone give me a sense of what to expect with Soul Hackers? I want it, but EO4 has been giving me trouble (the games are similar, no?, and I have so little time to play as it is.

It is in the US; RE:R almost launched at $50, but the uproar over their flimsy justification for the price caused Capcom to relent. This is not the first 3DS game to cost fifty bucks.
It's 2013, everything is spreadsheets and wikis now. (I say that but apparently Call of Duty Black Ops 2 strategy guides exist??)
Ducktroll
Why do you want boring dungeons getting in the way of awesome daily life simulation activities and social links?

What kind of trouble are you having.
Yeah, it is declining. I still have the guide for the first GBA Fire Emblem game. The decline of Strategy guide for RPGs is something no one talks about. I am pretty sure a few years ago games like Tales of Graces or Fire Emblem: Awakening would gotten some kind of guide.
Nothing in particular, it's just a difficult game. I'm not terribly "good" at dungeon-crawlers, but I'm liking it so far.

Should already own one for EO IV.
I played Etrian Odyssey 1 for the DS, but the series never impressed me that much. I think I'm just not a fan of that type of gameplay.
Mai Waifu
I wonder if I can get her to confess her love of me after hanging out with her 10 times and then never speak to her again
Yeah, it is declining. I still have the guide for the first GBA Fire Emblem game.
The SMT vs. Persona hostility in here makes me sad. Play both, love both.
I don't think most people here are outright hostile to Persona though.

Your waifu is the dungeon :O.I hope they do away with dungeons entirely. Just make it open world with more dating.
Yeah, as someone who is attuned to the series entirely for its mythological elements, Persona can deliver just as much on that front as SMT. At the end of the day though, the presentation and tone of the main series are more of what I'm looking for.
Your waifu is the dungeon :O.
Persona is more focused on Psychology than Mythology, but many never get that, and are simply fans of waifus or life sim (I refuse to call it date sim because the "dating" is only a small tiny part of it) aspects of it.
The Fire Emblem guide I mentioned had beautiful artwork in it which is why I bought it. Plus I really loved that game.I mean the Nocturne guide was one of the best I owned. Now days we are lucky to getting a crappy guide from Brady Games for Disgaea 4.

Had no idea there was a SMT vs Persona beef. I thought SMT fans just liked both series.
