I hope this is indication that RayRay is sticking with C.Viper for the long haul. He said he'd be done with Ryu a million times, I just hope this time he means it.

Now he needs to find some way to get rid of Sentinel.

RayRay's Sentinel is legendary and has helped him a lot during bad situations. He can't get rid of the Robot.

RayRay's Sentinel does what Doom does on many of the Norcal folk's team. He's a TAC infinite character with a top assist that is usually in anchor. Sure he doesn't have Hidden Missiles but Drones is still a top 5 assist in the game. RayRay's anchor Sentinel is about as effective as most other player's anchor Doom.

The problem isn't Sent, the problem is that Ray has a weird ass team setup. Everyone loves some world warrior putting foot in ass (myself included), but Ryu just wasn't putting in enough work and had enough flaws that having both him AND Sentinel in the same metagame (as defined by Morrigan/Doom) made the team seem weaker when Ryu wouldn't convert off throws or had to stay in place and hold those Soul Fists. His Viper pick is certainly much better and utilizes his core in Mags/Drones well, but he has to actually stick it out with this.

Optimally, he'd play Magneto/Sent/Dante or some variant as his duo would be allowed to do a shitload more mid match and he'd have a character that fights the cast even without needing to establish the momentum with assists.
 
Viper would still get bodied hardcore by MorriDoom in that team without Jam Session and Vajra. At least she can convert off of air throws unlike Ryu.
 
Yay, the TFC date doesn't conflict with any local M:TG GPs. Now, as long as SCG doesn't put an invitational on that date, I should be good to go! :)
 
Is there even any footage of Fanatiq playing something besides Mahvel? I'm honestly curious now that I think about it. I've never seen him play anything else before. I like to think that he'd be amazing at other fighters.

So Cal TTT2 crew are upset that NCR Tekken is starting on Friday. They said many won't come because they can't attend on Friday.

Chris Hu and Aquasilk were giving him shit for picking Ryu instead of Sagat when he lost to Floe at Final Round. Sanford was pretty salty about it but insisted he doesn't know the Sagat-Fei matchup since no one plays Fei in NY. They argued for a while on stream about character loyalty vs counterpicking.

IIRC he was pissed off at how pad unfriendly Skullgirls ended up being despite promises that it would become more pad friendly.
 
Is the Final Round Vampire Savior tourney footage out yet? Kinda want to watch Kajoq do his thing again for research purposes.

I think I waited like two and a half hours for the stream to start before I got bored and left. I heard great stories about the marathon that went on for something like 12+ hours. I know Erin Fitzgerald and the Abrigded VA for Gohan participated. I did watch them goof around for like two hours, but no gameplay there.

Kinda did with stick assists, but that is all in the past now.

After seing how tekken fans talked about fans of capcom games during FR i find it kind of peculiar to see complaints about NCR from tekken fans.
