I finally started playing Gravity Rush.
I remember a fellow GAFfer saying (when I got my Vita, less than a month ago) that he hoped it "clicked" with me. Man, it clicked indeed! I love this game. The soundtrack, the main character, the way they tell the Story. I'm bad at those challenges and I'm having some trouble landing in the desired areas but I hope the game just don't spike the Difficulty on later levels. I did not even knew there was DLC! What a nice surprise, it payed off knowing almost nothing to this game and now I'm having a great time with it.
To be honest, I feel relaxed when playing this game. Persona 4 is still on my list as my soon-to-be first physical game Bought. I hope it can be a game good for relaxing and enjoying the Story too (plan on play it on Easy if that helps).
Happy birthday fellow GAFfer!![]()
The biggest difficulty spike in Gravity Rush is playing it for the first time and wrestling with the controls, coping with the disorientation as you experiment with gravity manipulation and trying to become adept at lining up exactly where you want to land or aiming a gravity kick at an enemies weak spot. It takes a lot of getting used to, at least it did for me, but with enough time all those things you'll be able to pull off with relative ease. It just becomes second nature after a while. And don't worry about any challenges until you've upgraded the move list a few times, otherwise they're needlessly difficult and you're just going to end up punishing yourself for no reason.
But yeah, like you say, all those components like the soundtrack, main character, story presentation - they're all top-notch. Such a terrific game.
