The Vita browser already works incredibly well, and it's only enhanced by dat OLED. Browser-based video streaming is just more icing on the cake.
 
Hope the browser gets a few more tweaks as I use it quite a lot (typing on it now). Word wrap would be a good start. Zooming in just enough to read then scrolling side to side back and forth is a little bit of a pain.

Some good additions though, things are looking up for the Vita this year.
 
Somehow I have managed to max out my 16GB card, even though the Vita has no games. I don't know how that happened.

Folders are sorta welcome but I really want some more themes; that's my only complaint, the fugly aliased bubbles. The circle shape is ok but I know they can do better than these icons.

Video streaming is very cool aswell, depending on if it actually works on all sites with video streaming.

Good news. Hopefully those aren't the only improvements. They need to make sure icons aren't thrown randomly around different screens every time you switch memory cards.
 
So, are they using the opportunity to fix the icon mess up whenever you switch cards or are they just giving us the ability to make folders we'll ruin when switching?

I won't even ask for the ability to hot swap. Yet.

And streaming on the browser is something I've wanted from day 1. Best update outside of the mystical PS1 one.
 
Now i can throw Welcome Park and other stuff in a folder that just says "piece of shit"

Would rather an update that saves my icon placement though, at least then i can switch memory cards :(
 
Good to see it confirmed instead of the rumors I was reading the other day.

I haven't turned on my Vita in almost 3 months to play games, so it should be a nice welcome back when I snag Totori later (I need those swimsuits, so I have till the 16th).

You can already watch giant bomb using the YouTube app. It will be a better experience that way, imo.

At this point, I'm okay with this, I just need to be creative with the naming. One folder for PSP games, one for SNK PS Mini titles, one for racing games...

You can also go to Giantbomb and hit download. You need to download the whole video before you can watch but there is no converting required. This is useful for subscriber only videos.
 
hopefully this will fix youtube streaming.


ie i have to keep 1GB of free space on my memory card because if i watch like a 30+ minute youtube video, it requires the entire size of the video free on the memory card.

pretty annoying.
 
Finally. After being fanatical about organization on my Vita in the months following launch, it just got really tiresome... I'm now at "digital bomb went off there were no survivors" level, so this will be nice. T'was a godsend when the 3DS got them too, but I have to feel a little ridiculous getting excited over features that should've been there day 1 on both platforms.

Been able to watch p0rn videos. Just download it to the vita. I just hope they make the boarders around browser slide back to avoid image retention. And upgrade music player so i could organize songs.
 
do yall think this would allow for java/Flash/html5 games in the browser? Sure controls would be the last burden, but it is one step closer.
 
Can't believe I'm actually excited about the ability to [finally] create folders. It only took a year of waiting.

Now if only they announce a price cut to those memory cards.. I'm still using an 8GB card.
