i'm serious. Crowe was awesome in Miserables, looking forward to his performance in this movie.

I really don't understand his career. He was at the top of Hollywood in the early 00's and then everyone just lost interest in him without him actually turning in a bad performance. The press and general audience have an odd relationship with Australian actors that make it big in the US.

I think him being an unrepentant asshole that only became more of an unrepentant asshole as he gained famed did it in. I don't believe anyone actually enjoys working with him.

Also, he was fucking horrendous in Les Mis.

Pretty much. There is this famous article in the Sydney Morning Herald from years back that cemented him as a huge douchebag. Still, I love Crowe on-screen.

Enjoy!

Crowe was terrible in Les Mis man.

He turned in good performances but his movies didn't really do well did they? After Gladiator he did Beautiful Mind and Master of Command, which didn't do that well iirc. Then he started doing smaller movies that got little to no buzz, etc etc..

Damnit I'm on to an amazing theory here.

Look at this list:

Russell Crowe
Hugo Weaving
Eric Bana
Paul Hogan
Hugh Jackman
Guy Pearce
Mel Gibson

Apart from Jackman, all of them have had similarly unaccountable* fade-outs. And Hollywood is trying it's darndest to make sure the next Wolverine film flops, so there's that. Not even Jackman is safe.

* Mel Gibson is the exception, not the rule.

I don't think you can put Guy Pearce on the same level as the others. Dude was in LA Confidential and Memento in a five year period. Everything else he has done has been a huge step down or an awful camero (See: The Count of Monte Cristo & Prometheus).

It's a shame, because he's supremely talented. I also think Bana has been more consistent than you give him credit for. Though his last good film was probably Hanna.

No he wasn't. He's the best part of the whole movie and best voice too.

I'm 3/4's of the way through this and Jesus Christ, Crowe comes off as such a psycho.

*edit - Finished it and yep, motherfucker's crazy.

Some licensed posters showed up online. These are just the cheapo ones you find at Wal-mart and such for a couple of bucks but the last couple have been used on some of the tie-in books coming out at the end of the month:

Just going to link the last one as some might not want to see it 'cause of spoilers but it was done by Jock:

EDIT: Also less than 22 hours until something is unlocked.

Not bad for cheapo wal-mart posters.

I still have to hang my two official MOS ones and remove my Superman Returns poster. I still have it up lol It really is a nice poster though.

What is spoiler-ish about the last poster? Not saying it's not, seriously asking. I don't get what I'm seeing.

More to do with it shows Zod in shackles when he's arrested on Krypton. i don't think it's spoilerish at all but some would probably prefer it linked than posted.

where do you see that? I only see one person there...

It looks pretty similar to the below image, which is why my mind jumped to that theory.

Simo, your theory is probably right. It evokes this image a great deal, does it not? It must be intentional for callback & symmetry purposes.

Those posters are sick. Way better than the Dark Knight stuff. I'm surprised at how awesome the movies suit looks drawn all comic booky.

Zod's suit looks amazing. It's going to be awesome seeing Supes and Zod duke it out. Also, I wonder if Zod will utter his famous line.

At least Injustice comes out tomorrow. That should keep me a little preoccupied after work until the trailer drops. :)

Also the Zod viral TV spot aired again tonight during SyFy's Defiance premiere.

To be fair, didn't he deny for the longest time he wasn't playing Zod? I'm sure they'll get the line or some variation of it in there.

He did, so at this point I don't trust his comment of it not being in it any longer.

Michael Shannon doesn't need to tell these fools to kneel. He'll give them the Michael Shannon glare and they'll just do it willingly.

THIS scene has me pretty excited.

Before laughing or thinking I'm making a funny, think of a certain Comic Con trailer scene that was teased and has yet to resurface since (see here, heavily out of focus).

If that is indeed representative of a scene in the film, then let me just say a big fuck you.

These posters usually put heroes in scenes that are more reminiscent of the comics rather than the film. At least, that's what I'm hoping, because that'd be a pretty big gosh darn spoiler.
