Oh man, that SS demo is blowing my mind in the best way possible.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=541683
their big budget, super highly marketed MonHun clone didn't even hit 200k -and not even close- yet, this is beyond bad for the entire MonHun push on the system.
They already shipped more than 200K physical copies (double pack counted as one SKU).
In Japan it's quite odd to call it a failure(BTW first MH's lifetime sales is like 288K.)
It'll end selling a bit less than the first portable MH. It, since the first was Japan exclusive, SS will be selling more, counting WW sales.
Yes!Soul Sacrifice is very, very good.
The first Monster Hunter Portable was released internationally as Monster Hunter Freedom.
Soul Sacrifice is very, very good.
Oh, it really was.
Alright, installing SS demo now. Let's see what all this hype is about...
I think going into something with the mindset of "let's see what all this hype is about" is usually a set up for disappointment. That's been my experience from reading these forums.
Anyway, I'm going to try the demo tonight. I'll play with some people soon online if anyone wants to.
You need to finish the introduction missions with Sortiara. Not even sure yet how to play online. Do I need to finish the main missions first?
You need to finish the introduction missions with Sortiara.
There is still more content after you're done with those Sortiara missions, yes.Oh,I was trying to go slow because I heard that the demo has "only" chapter 1. Those arent chapter 1 yet?
Why not download the demo and play through it anyways at some point? That's the only way you can get one of the spells in the full game. Thanks for the SS impressions! I'll hold off for the release since I already have it preordered and want to experience it in its entirety.
Feel much more confident in that decision now.

You can take over the progress from the demo to the full game. Since some people played the demo for a long time, it wouldnt hurt that much to play the demo I guess.
But yeah, fantastic game.
Do I need to play through the demo to get the spell? Or simply having "some" save is enough?
And seriously, "Texture Sacrifice"? HUH? Looking at this demo, I have no clue where that came from.
how do I control this minigame in Frobisher says:

I have another reason I didn't confess. I have less than 1GB of space left on my 32GB card and always hate having to decide who is going to be voted off of Vita Island.
Edit: I didn't know about the additional spell for playing the demo. That changes things. Alright games, start making your case for why you deserve precious card space...

So...Soul Sacrifice...I might actually buy it. Presentation is killer and the gameplay, tone, and lore intrigues me.

I saw you just finished the first chapter. They add really interesting mechanics with the story progression and upgrade systems later. Really, really damn well made.
Yes! Buy it. Then slay monsters with me!
Oh yeah btw. If a player sacrifices himself in MP, he is doomed to watch the level until the others finish it?
Finally took a break from SS.
Wow.
The game blew my expectations out of the water and than some. The way some people were explaining it made it seem like easy mode but man were they way off. Just so good.
Dragon Fantasy is a decent nostalgic throwback. Although it doesn't 100% emulate a NES game, it does the job I guess. I kinda miss games like this and this is the first time I'm playing a NES-like game on the go with trophies.
Shadow and lighting quality is current gen stuff. If only the ground textures and resolution were a bit better it would be one of the best looking Vita games. Still looks a lot better than I thought it would.
It's definitely not.Resolution? This is native res, isnt it?
PSP store is pretty damn dry...No Syphon Filter games, no Valkyria Chronicles wtf???
Persona 4 is much better? I will look into Gurumin
I can't find the demo. It's up on US PSN?

Well Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus got the boot. SS demo downloading now... (well "Preparing to download... Please wait.")
Yes.
Well... yeah. I knew WHERE that came from, but I cannot understand the reasoning behind it if that was based on the same demo that I am playing atm.
Which is odd because I always thought they removed a vita/psp game when a new was taking it's place. Although I might be wrong.
