I'm so far behind. So are people still saying that Sunil guy is him?
No, its not

Don't put words in my mouth, I never said call off the search. Don't be an idiot. My argument is focused on the media coverage. Go after the other in this thread talking about the rights to conduct door-by-door searches. So your solution is what? Call off the manhunt? And when you, as a person on authority, make this call and he shoots or blows up a bunch of people?
Who is idolizong him? He's being hunted like an animal through the streets of the city. If they catch him, they'll probably have to shoot him, smdtbemhis corpse is likely to be displayed to the world like his brother. If they find him, he gets an ignominious end.
If he escapes because we call off the manhunt, then he is a hero to certain people. He attacked the city and got away. Not to mention that he gets another chance to attack people.
No one wants to lock Boston down. It's incredibly inconvenient to everyone involved, but it's better than the alternatives.
If you've got nothing to hide, why wouldn't you let them do a quick search, find nothing, and move on?
How people can actually be offended/bothered about their houses being searched in such circumstances, no matter what the maths say, is beyond me. Jesus Christ.
Scanner is not reliable 90% of the time.
Sgt FURY! GET DEM BATTERIES!!
The 10% was the NYPD burgers.
Boston Comic-Con, set for this weekend, has been cancelled.
The 10% was the NYPD burgers.
Go Ryu Hazuki on the houses and look for batteries in the drawers.
Not confirmed.
Also, I like how many of you equate "normal" with "good". You guys realize that only a small percent of violent crime is committed by the mentally ill?
This guy's friend on CNN is pretty cool. "Turn yourself in. You can't get any lower than this."
At this rate it was probably a dog with a white spot on his head
"Neither of the two males are our guy" ?
Media needs to find people the younger terrorist spoke with recently, not two, three years ago. We get it: he was a cool guy in 2010.
That isn't how rights work. If the police had a warrant that he was hiding in an apartment complex to search, that would make sense. Blindly searching whole blocks is another. Your rights exist for you so you can say no, not so you can only say yes.Its not a punishment, its getting this person out of their way so they can look for a suspected terrorist. They are going to search the home. Maybe if they find something unrelated and try to charge you for it you can fight it, but that's not what they're after. Its a dumb argument. Why would you refuse entry in this situation? It just doesn't make sense.
That's has to be the feel good part about today if there is such a thing.
All Police scanner sites down: Found a new one:

For those waking up here is the summary of what happened in Boston overnight. Attempted to rob 7-11, they killed an MIT police officer, hijacked a car, stole a police vehicle, threw explosives out of window during chase, got into firefights in neighborhood, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest going off(suspect 1), and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place(suspect 2) .

This was the DA statement and press conference earlier, may be off since I just jotted it down, but is generally what I heard across those sources:
Quote:
-something at MIT (Building 32? led to shooting of MIT cop (died))
-carjacking in cambridge, kept hostage for 30 minutes
-robbery attempt at 7-11
-another carjacking at some point (?)
-car chase (?), grenades thrown out, explosives maybe of some sort
-shootout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqo1Ad6spkY
-suspect #1 (black cap) dead
-suspect #2 (white cap) still on the loose
Also note that the first suspect was run over as #2 tried to escape. According to news sources now.
No confirmation yet on this though...
The bullet actually went through his chair.

I hope Fury went to bed, he was running about when I was up last night.
Of course, but that's not the point here.

I can only imagine all the problems that Giant Bomb-related tweets and messages would cause.I can only imagine this taking place during the events of PAX, yet I don't want to.
Strangers? lol, what? they identify themselves and are publicly accountable figures.
And dude, you can deny permission. Then they'll get a warrant. That's legal.
That's military right? Not the PD?NO.
Dogs are too awesome.

Scanner is wrong again. Nothing on local news about it
