Two days after the bombing Dzhokar Tsarnaev hit the gym, went to a party, slept in his dorm.

Unreal

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had passed an apparently normal day at the school Wednesday, according to a UMass official, working out at the gym, then sleeping in his single-unit room at the Pine Dale Hall dorm that night, while law enforcement officials were frantically scanning photos and video trying to identify him and his brother.

No words.

One positive in the developments is how this rubs it all in the conspiracy theorists' faces. The reaction of people even with all of this law enforcement presence wasn't "omg police state" but relief and support. What we saw this week does not correspond in any way, shape, or form, to the image of the world conspiracy theorists want to project. Every little detail they tried to use to claim there was a conspiracy was brought down by logic, facts, proofs, at every corner. We have ALL seen how witnesses, news reporters, and every one who repeats claims can be so wrong.

People can blame social medias all they want, the difference is this time it allowed bad information to be eliminated quicker than ever. Police and FBI information was made available more frequently, news reporters could more quickly retract statements, new details could be released faster, etc.

I expect Alex Jones to quadruple down on this being a conspiracy, because what happened this week really dismantles his case and has shown everyone what the "real world" is like, something that wasn't so obvious in 2001. The real world isn't mysterious, it isn't a big show, it's what we saw this week.

Weren't you one of the first guys to bring up that missing Brown University student and some completely unrelated article about explosives an hour away? You're the problem here. Stop playing internet detective

Fox will have an interview with the homeowner who discovered White Hat Guy in the boat shortly. Unfortunately, with Gretta instead of Shep, but another good get.

Tobin and Shep have been the best on the big 24H outlets.

A lot of peopl on the internet and news are talking about how these two guys must have been crazy. I imagine a lot of people who do these kinds of acts have a nihilistic view of the world. Killing random people doesn't sound so bad if you think we're all going to die anyways and our existence ultimately will amount to nothing. Once you go down that line of reasoning, it's easy to justify any action.
Well not many people think like that and actually cherish life.

Uncle Ruslan is the best. But as fun as it is to watch him be so kickass, he clearly wants this to be over with. Is it true he was going door to door apologizing to people?

I heard that he was doing that too, but with everything that's gone around I'm not sure if it's true. I forget whether or not him or one of his neighbors said it, or if it was just some random CNN/Reddit/Twitter/etc. rumor. I wouldn't doubt it, he seems like a great guy. Hopefully the media leaves him alone like he wanted.

Ok guys, last post for me today, here's a recap of some of the images we came across since the start of the manhunt;
Good night all!

Stray bullets from earlier firefight:

You have been doing great work today. Thank you so much. You deserve so much credit for your work today.

YES, rape torture and slow painful death at the very least... You brutally kill and injure people with bombs. Then cold blooded assassinate that MIT guard and everything else they did running from cops and throwing explosives etc etc etc.

He is not a human being. He does not deserve to live in a cell and eventually die from a needle in his arm.

Let's just say he's not a human being. How does that make torture and rape justifiable? You think it's okay to torture animals?

Also, the type of dehumanization you're expressing is exactly what these bombers were brainwashed with towards Americans. How else do you think they justified killing innocent people?

they happened to be in the store at the same time as a robbery? what did ever happen at that 7-11? i lost that info in the shuffle.

it seems fishy to me that they just happened to be at a robbery. Who would rob a store with the police presence in Boston last night? Maybe something will come out that they couldn't share before.

What is scary about this whole ordeal is that 2 kids caused 5 days worth of commotion in one of the largest cities in the United States. Imagine if there was a group of people like these 2 brothers that try to do something like this again, but in numbers. They can do some massive damage. I'm just glad this is over with and we get to find out what triggered these two guys.

Ok, so three in FBI custody have connections to Suspect #2. They live in New Bedford. 2 men and 1 woman. That's all.

School officials know he was there Wednesday because of card swipes, but it was not clear if he had been there earlier. He was described as good, typical student who played intramural soccer.

A student, who didn’t want to be identified, said she saw Dzhokhar Tsarnaev at a party Wednesday night that was attended by some of his friends with whom he played intramural soccer.

“He was just relaxed,” she said.

Wow.

These guys never thought they'd be caught.

The older brother described himself as very religious. I doubt it was nihilism that was driving these two.

I was thinking this too. Theirs something to be said about it being harder to find 1 person. BUT i can see a group of 8 people being small enough to cause major havoc. it's scary

The fact that the older brother was questioned by the FBI a few years back will be a political disaster for the Obama administration.

Considering he was investigated by the FBI and they found jack shit indicating the older brother was dangerous, I doubt it. I'm sure there will still be plenty of fun rhetoric from the right claiming Obama could have prevented this, but it would be complete bullshit.

Any idea where the boat location is and how far away it is from their last sighting, or where the police had the perimeter set up?

This is what it looks like when a group of well organized men terrorize an entire city

2008 Mumbai attacks

i think its pretty clear that his older brother was the mastermind and commited one. He had a bomb belt on, so he was prepared to die. I would assume a committed terrorist would go down in a blaze of bullets with suicide by explosion, taking whoever he could with him, or suicide by cop.

This doesn't clear him in any way... it just seems his brother was the main guy (which, according to russia, they knew)
I wouldn't at all be surprised if the older brother orchestrated it. At least more so than the younger one.

Definitely seems the younger one was more desperate to escape. Covered in blood, cornered under a boat tarp and he was still shooting at the cops? Crazy.
