So what happens if this kid didn't shoot the MIT cop, this kid was indeed brainwashed and misled by his brother and was scared shitless the last 18 hours? I don't think this kid will get the death penalty like some are hoping or expecting. Probably life in prison, but what do I know.. There is a lot to this story we don't know but so far...

From all accounts he seemed like a normal, well adjusted kid going to college. Some of his tweets would lead me to believe he's pretty far from being any kind of extremist. Now think of Monday? His brother actually tried to be disguised with the sunglasses and hat actually front facing. This kid went out in the middle of the marathon with his hate backwards and eyes wide open. Now we can kinda see there is a possibility he just straight up gave up and had no suicidal explosives strapped to himself like his brother. I'm not trying to be an Internet detective or what have you. I just think there's a lot more to this particular brother than what we've seen at face value.

I think there's a pretty good chance he doesn't get the death penalty. He'll be told to give up all the information he has in return for the death penalty being taken off the table. It's the only real leverage we have to get him to talk.

I can't imagine the conflicting of emotions that the people who are treating him must be having. They surely must want him to not save his life, and yet keeping him alive is the most valuable thing to do.

The emotions would definitely be there - especially if you were tied to an event personally. But in the end, a doctor has volunteered to care for people without bias, regardless of what they have done or will do.

Don't worry, we'll keep him alive long enough to have him tell us everything we need and then we'll sentence him to the death penalty.

True. I can't follow down that path tho, he had/dropped the backpack, he continued to fight/flee even after his brother was killed. Impossible to justify.

This is my theory of what happened during the shootout. I know it's probably been put out there. I think the older brother instructed the younger one to step out of the car, since he had a vest. I believe they were planning to shoot it out and then he would blow themselves up. The younger one probably wasn't ready to die yet, so immediately he stepped out, he backed the car over him and drove away.

Depends on how much you respect your brother's opinions. I have 2 of them and I'd be lying if I said that they haven't had a fairly significant influence on me and my decisions in life. Some were pretty damned important.

Im not sure what your doing then. Its either is or not. How can you say what he could have done when we have full blown facts of what he has done. Yeah I recognize this. It would take a giant leap of faith for me to believe (or anyone) that he didn't know there was a bomb in the bag. That would be an interesting twist, though. At this point I'm mainly thinking of how much or how little he has done the last night or two.
