So lets wsee
In a week Chris G has said "F U" to ultradavid, mr. wizard, and now Koogy.
All is left is for him to say it to Spooky, Haunts, Alex Valle, and then we got a real heel in the FGC.
What did he say to David?

So ... about fighting games...
I'm so glad someone else had the same thought I did.

Max can you do a video explaining PS3 problems with Marvel? I know about controller lag but I heard that PS3 versions slows down and drops frames.
So ... about fighting games...
This might be a good call, cutting out all the drama related issues and talking about the best console to play modern fighters on.
But briefly, the MVC3 engine is built on NTFramework which is primary PC/windows based. I believe every title released under NTFramework or NTframework 2 on both PS3 and 360 have run better graphically and framerate wise on 360. Literally, the more polys and textures on the screen, the more issues you might have with framedrops...especially with consoles overheating.
Also, playing marvel in 1080p is completely unnecessary. The game was created with 720p being the graphical limit. Converting the games natural 720p to 1080p adds post processing either by the system itself or the television it's being played on to render more pixels...and it will hardly look any better.
MTFramework 2 games of note are Marvel, Dragon's Dogma and RE6. In all three cases due to the frame buffer implementation, the 360 versions maintain a more steady frame rate at the expense of some screen tearing.
It's a design choice which unfortunately isn't a good one for a fighting game at the highest level.
Given mythical patches are all the rage, would players accept a PS3 patch that fixed the frame rate but made it tear? I'd say depending on where the tearing happens, probably yes.
Makes sense, but I didn't know about the tearing issue. At least with screen tearing in a fighting game, it shouldn't be as obvious an issue unlike other titles like RE6 or LP2 where the entire background image is rapidly changing. Lot of the time, the processed image of a fighting game is mostly a static background, with the eventual camera zoom for cinematic effect and is probably where most of the tearing happens. Is that a fair assumption or am I off?
ChrisG still taking those Luis Suarez sportsmanship classes, I see.
Anyone know what happened in P4A?

These two pages probably go more into depth about frames for MVC3 than anywhere else. Unfortunately, I can't find an update for UMVC3.
I went to sleep right a couple of matches after Marvel started up again late last night WHAT IN THE FUCKING SHIT HAPPENED
Just caught up on everything. ChrisG is such a fucking manbaby, goddamn.
I don't think he should be banned from Evo for this, but it's a privately run event, they could do it if they want to (but I seriously doubt they will). But at some point Chris needs to get dropped from his sponsor, or banned from a tournament or something if he's ever going to stop this shit. I can't believe he then went back and doubled down on it, fuck.
CHRIS G IS NOT BANNED FROM EVO
I don't know where you guys are getting this from.
He's still a whiny manbaby though.
Got some time to look at some archives before bed.
Tell me melee minions. Was the grand finals an example of "good melee"? (if you know what I mean).

Watching the taximan/chris g thing i find it hard to see how it was due to ps3 lag. It was due to taximans team being the best team yet vs morrigan zoning
kudos to him using spencers graple to beat proyectiles too
Uh huh?No one said he was, just a lot and back and forth speculation on whether or not he should be. Calling the person who runs Evo a homophobic slur isn't a good idea lol
chrisg lost to some guy named senortaxi, got really salty on twitter, got called out by mrwizard, and then got banned from evo?
Uh huh?
Yes the GF of melee was a great example of high lvl smash, this vid might help you a bit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjfzExt_TTE
I think the amount of people you'd need to be vocal to change anything is pretty unrealistic to expect. No amount of complaining is suddenly going to make Marvel decide to release the game at a different time or within a different schedule.Don't use vanilla marvel as a comparison tool. Some of the particle effects that had performance issues like jam session, and that ice move Dante has are a lot better. The problem are things like cross over combinations, and a lot of shit on the screen make the game feel jarring. The fight with galactus in vanilla was unplayable, but in ultimate its slightly better.
The community should put the blame on capcom more than anything. This shit wouldn't fly if more people were vocal about. It's too late now sine the game isn't supported. Ultimate, and mvc3 were the ultimate rush jobs, and it shows in feature set, online and technical problems
