Alright, might as well ask here. I just bought a 2nd Vita to replace my 1st Vita that has a broken battery.
Here's a bit of a background story: first of all, I live in a country where, even though Sony has official stores or whatever here, none of them specializing in Vita and thus refused to have anything to do with it. Unfortunate, but understandable, considering that maybe 80-90% of people playing Video Games here playing it with pirated products. So, even though my Vita is original as is its games, should anything happens to it I can't count on Sony to help me.
Anyways, I bought my 1st Vita 2nd hand, and the person that sold it to me bought it 2nd hand as well, so you might call my 1st Vita as a 3rd hand product, I guess. Anyway, on one unfortunate occasion I put my 1st Vita on sleep mode and then forgot about it for like, 2 or 3 days.
By the time I remembered that I haven't turned it off but put it in a sleep mode instead, of course the battery has been drained. Then, my 1st Vita refused to be turned on again, and this lasted for a couple of weeks. Then, all of a sudden I managed to turned it on, but the battery just refused to be charged. So I could only turn it on for what, half an hour, before it got off again. And now it won't turn on again. I consider it to be dead already at this point.
Hence, my 2nd Vita.
Now, due to what happened to my 1st Vita I am admittedly a bit paranoid with my 2nd Vita here, as I do not have a disposable income to buy a 3rd Vita and like I said, Sony wouldn't help me despite my support. And thus I ask: what are the things that can potentially damage Vita's battery? IS it safe to play Vita while it's charging? What other things that I should know in order to avoid the same thing that happened on my 1st Vita happening again with my 2nd Vita?
Thanks.
