Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | April 2013 | Sacrifice your Independent Soul

I know a guy whose girlfriend knows a guy who allegedly got "Legends of War". PM me and I can try to get you in touch with him, but I can't guarantee anything will come of it.

Im officially gonna wait for reviews on SS before touching it. Not impressed at all with the mp, as you can't search by map, which is quite a serious omission imo. Everyone is trying to fight cerberus and yet I'm some level 6 dude, that would get one shotted by a harpy. I can see this being a big issue when the full game comes out.

I've been getting my kicks single player only. Haven't even touched the online. I much prefer being 'disconnected' so I can enjoy things at my own pace and pause / suspend whenever I want.

Already have Sine Mora and Lone Survivor on Steam but I'm curious to see how they look on the Vita screen.

I still need to finish Gravity Rush, for some reason it seems that the game is taking longer than expected to finish. I'm liking it but some parts it just seems that it drags out a bit.

Jeff Minter just posted this on Twitter.

@llamasoft_ox Early, basic stuff.

why not just make your own room for the quests you want?

Think that's just the nature of the beast. Although I imagine the limited boss selection for the demo might be more at fault here

Do we know that it's not possible to search by mission? Full retail JPN release already has some modifications (like being able to collect your Lacrima without backing right out) so it's possible that there's also a more robust search offerings in the full release.

You can search by pact.
It's just locked in the demo.

Same reason that "Whispers" are locked at OFF and you have to use Party Chat, but when you do, you can see which person is talking as they flash blue in the lobby when their mic is picking up stuff.

LOL@The Drop -- they put the Far Cry 3 spinoff as the lead release this week even though Soul Sacrifice is a full retail first party title. Way to promote it guys.

Now hurry up and post whatever the hell you were going to post about the NA digital version and the preorder bonuses, please.

I own Sine Mora on 4 different platforms. There's no reason to not support a great game from a great dev, especially considering the ridiculous sale prices they've had on Sine Mora for PSN giving you the ability to have a portable copy of the game.

Which is totally fine. The system is pretty much built for fighters and therefore is an okay "training" ground. Too bad SC is a PSP port, Juggle is a PSP port, King of Clooneys isn't even ported to the first PSP...

I'd rather have a port of Third Strike, but without GGPO/online.

And I really want P4A. Considering how Ark System Works ported both BlazBlue and Guilty Gear I assume it's entirely Atlus' fault that it was not ported yet.

Not so interested into Skullgirls though as it is a 6 button fighter, and I can't stand playing a 6 button fighter on a controller with only 4 face buttons.

Only three more days. Honestly there is no way to fool the pre-order timer right?

what's your PSN id man!

this must be the first post I did not see you mention fellow GAFfer.. :X but I'm glad you're enjoying your Vita. How's Thomas Was Alone?

and dang that TxK looks awesome

I was fairly pumped for SS tomorrow, but I started getting in monster hunter 3 ultimate. My brother watched me play for 15 minutes last night, then immediately went home to download it (MH3U).

I think I'm actually going to wait to get SS now :/

nuuuu. get SS and play with us, you would not want to miss the collective experience of playing SS as a community (this would be like the first game I play together with GAF -buying it on release, etc-)

I agree it would be nice if everyone had it and there was a great community where you can always find competent gaming companions...

Unfortunately, I have only put 4 hours into MH3U. I just got Mario 3D land over the weekend as well as Art Academy. I only got to play the new Bioshock for 2 hours.

Combined with the 400+ hours I have in PSO2, My plate is so ridiculously full and the games keep pouring in. My son just got Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and Lego City Undercover for 3DS. It's his birthday today and his grandmother bought him Lego City for the Wii U.

I have 40 Indie games to play each month on top of SS soon, no excuses! :D

Indies, to me, rarely compel me to the point where I feel I need to get my money's worth out of them, or that I can't come back to them months later.

Then again, I don't do too many indies to begin with.

Still debating on whether to get Atelier Totori. I'm a fan of these JRPG's: Final Fantasy, SMT, Persona, Dragon Quest, Neir, Golden Sun.

"JRPG's" I don't like: Monster Hunter, Disgaea, Lost Odyssey, Tales of.

Things important to me in an RPG game: story, character, exploration, unique side quests, innovative battle system, action, drama, original art style and graphics.

Things I don't like: slap stick, overt anime tropes, grinding, limited exploration, whiny voice acting.

So, knowing this, would Atelier be a good buy?

Anyone have any insight?

The Franchise sale details are up for PS+.

I left games that were cross buy and games that had cross save in the list. I'm not sure if all PSP titles are playable on Vita and I know MGS requires PS3 to transfer.

What were the overall impressions of the new Sly Cooper game on the Vita? How much worse is it than the PS3 version?

If you like Sly it's definitely worth it. I have done Cross Save back/forth as I play through and outside of graphics quality I haven't noticed any difference.

Sony should really look into Papers, Please for the Vita. The touch controls would lend itself to the game quite nicely .... plus the game is damn awesome.

Just pre-ordered Soul Sacrifice on Amazon. I enjoyed the demo enough, and I want to support more original IPs on the Vita as well.

I don't think I'll get it tomorrow, but it should come soon enough. I'm still playing through Persona 4. About 41 hours into that one and still loving it.
