I am still trying to get a cheap price for Fire Emblem Awakening,

Flubit get the Amazon price down to just under £28,
but after pre ordering Donkey Kong 3D from Flubit for under £23 I feel spoiled & want my fire emblem cheap like that.

Any ideas on the cheapest deals out for Fire Emblem Awakening?
Or is the Flubit deal it?

Same. I won't cancel because I'm not in a rush but this is probably the last time ever I buy from them. Not even an email informing of the delay for a preorder? wth

EDIT: now that I think about it, it is saturday... if they'll ship on monday I won't complain I guess.

From what I can tell:

- UK only
- You don't know who is actually sending the product
- It's not clear which SKU they are actually offering you (e.g. book editions, game special editions)
- Sometimes they send the wrong item
- I don't see a way to cancel without contacting them

Can't think of anything else right now, and the one order I've done was fine and pretty quick. I don't know how well preorders work.
 
Hmm, Flubit has given me an offer of £21.49 for Project X Zone. I'm not sure whether to wait it out and see if Game add some pre order bonuses like they've done with quite a few games recently. Looks like £24.99 will be the standard price up until launch anyway, but I'm not sure.
 
I reckon the reason why there's no automated cancellations is due to the fact that they use so many different stockists. They couldn't tie all those systems together, well they might but it would take a while.

There are other games available to chose, but Soul Sacrifice seems to be the standout. Also, they will email you a code for Fifa 13 (not Fifa football) - see the comments here.

Also, Virtue's Last Reward, Thomas Was Alone, Uncharted Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush are free on PS+ now, so you will have access to all those with the PS+ code.
 
Flubit got me Monster hunter and luigi's mansion for £26 each.
Best it got me for castlevania was £30 though, they picked a different amazon price to compare against.
 
£21.17 on Project X Zone for me though I'm being consumed by Monster Hunter, have Fire Emblem unopened and have Donkey Kong and Animal Crossing on the way.
Still have to pick up Luigi's Mansion too!

Might pass, sounds bad but I can see it hitting bomba prices pretty soon anyway.....
 
My £4.29 order of UMvC3 for Vita showed up today, thanks again Storm360 for mentioning it originally!

I managed to force myself to remove Soul Sacrifice for a few rounds of UMvC3.

I got an offer for Donkey Kong at £24 using flubit but have just put another offer in and got £21.82. Has anyone had any luck with cancelling pre orders with them.

I also managed to save £7 off the shield boxset. I'll update you all if it arrives safe and new.

It's also £20 in store - bought it yesterday.

It's kind-of meh, and since virtually every game these days is like God of War it's lost most of its novelty value, but for mindless mashing you could do a lot worse.

Don't know if its been posted but I got Resident Evil Revelations for £9.99 instore HMV in Stirling today. Pretty good price I thought.
 
Need some tips for finding a cheap official Sony DualShock 3. Or even better, an actual deal.

Seems like eBay UK is full of fakes. Every seller with a low price has negative feedback in their history, where the feedback comment is specifically about a DS3 not being genuine.

I know these things have their own battery, and that's good, but £32+ seems a bit much.

SweGAF: Ica Maxi's webstore (of all places) are selling Nintendo 3DS (original, non-XL version) for 799 SEK. At that price and with all the games coming out, I couldn't resist picking one up. They've only got the black one in stock online, but you can check the availability of the blue one at your local store through the website and order one through the website (I think). Blue seems to be in stock at some local stores.
 
Anyone on the fence for Metal Gear Rising should really give it a shot at this price.

Digital Foundry did this piece on the WiiU version back when it was released. I have heard from other people that the weird graphics compromises here and there can be truly jarring and the loading gets worse in some cases.

All in all, I'd say that it might be worth it for that price if you have not played it, but frankly I do not see anyone completing the game on WiiU. It's a sloppy, hastily done shit port for that quick cash grab.

Edit: oh, and the worst thing - people have reported multiple and constant crashes on WiiU with this game.

This is horrendous service. Definitely open up another request and try to find a customer service rep actually capable of providing customer service.

Ok thanks a lot! I bought it anyways, the price was low enough, and I want some games for my relatively new system. I'll definitely remember your advice if my experience sucks though :)
 
I'm looking to trade codes for a PSN game with someone, if possible. I have a JP code for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on PS3, but would like to trade for another good game in return. For those unaware, you will need to create a JP PSN account to use the code, but once downloaded, you can use your original account to play it. The game also plays in English. One of my fave PSN games this gen, for sure. Anyone got any offers?

Sorry to hear about that, but I'm not suprised this happens tbh. They are just middle men, with no real ties to the shops they're "buying" your products from.

Maybe if you know which shop it came from, you could contact them and have it sorted out? What does your bill say? If it says you bought it from the original shop, they should help you out.

Can you at least still go down the ordinary returns route (or has that been blocked off now). I'm fairly sure distance selling regulations mean you shouldn't have to pay postage...not sure about restocking fee or anything.

Edit: I'm wrong about the distance selling regulations part...the returns policy will state but if it doesn't then the retailer has to pay also, there should be no restocking fee. Come to think of it, this is a real shaky ground of the law. You didn't enter the contract. Fireworks merchant did so if the retailer was to go "our policy states" it gets messy...

You could try phoning them - 020 3137 7341

Often helps to talk to a real person rather than someone trying to answer support emails as fast as possible.

You should just be able to post it back to the company that shipped it to you for a refund.

Failing that contact paypal and raise a dispute with them to get a refund (is there a a way to pay on Flubit without paypal?)
 
First bad Flubit encounter I've heard of. As Flubit are just a middle man, I could see that happening eventually. I hope you're able to get some real customer service and resolve your issue, Sondar. Probably bad timing, but after getting an offer for the oos Marvel vs Capcom for the Vita on Game (thanks to a tip on here), I tried some other oos items and have got the following so far:

Cheers for all the replies/bits of advice guys. Much appreciated. :)

The game came from Amazon (but of course won't appear in my order history) so first thing tomorrow I'll be ringing Flubit & take it from there. If I get no joy, I might try contacting Amazon, Paypal & maybe Citizens Advice to see what they say.

Fortunately the game only cost me £7.71, so if I get no satisfactory outcome, it's not like I've lost a huge amount of money & I can always sell the game.

Sadly this experience has made me very wary of going through Flubit again due to the fact that there isn't just one company involved in the order. I know that we've all had bad experiences with all the major online retailers & whilst I've been unlucky here, I expect there are hundreds of orders going through without a hitch. All I know is that I won't be using them.

By got do you mean purchased or received the items? The gears 3 limited edition should be interesting to see if you get limited or standard.

Now I'm tempted to try some OOS items...and probably get rejected for being OOS...
