Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | May 2013 | Lovecraftian Wasteland

Well I certainly plan on doing that. Remote Play with Ps4 was a bit reason why I pulled the trigger on the Vita.

lets hope its all it's cracked up to be then for your sake and ours.

also, top of page! - recc me something to buy for my vita, and pimp this months OP challenge.

I love my Vita as a console on its own but i can see myself using Remote Play a lot with PS4. My PS4 will be in my bedroom so i won't really use it in bed, but probably sit out in the garden and play games or around the house or whatever. If it works well, obviously.

Almost top of the page, buy farming simulator! ;)

Man imagine playing second son on vita :)

Shadowfall too...

As much as I'm super excited for that, it probably means we won't get a native Vita Infamous anytime soon :(

I mean, I'm gonna be getting a PS4 anyway, but it concerns me that devs that already aren't all that keen on Vita will take the remote play stuff as 'good enough' and stop native development.

Getting close to finishing P4G. Cant believe I have put over 60 hours into a jrpg!

Anyways, what should I tackle next vitagaf? I currently have FF7, Vagrant Story, and Wild Arms locked and loaded on my system. I was thinking WA, as it is the shortest. That would probably give me time to beat FF7 in time for X HD...

It sucks because an InFamous game on Vita would be bloody amazing :(

Who'd even make an inFamous for Vita?
Bend. San Diego (if Warrior's Lair truly is canceled). Or they could probably find devs in the Seattle/Vancouver area with enough former Sucker Punch employees that they'd make good fit for the franchise - Sony has done similar things in the past with PSP spin-offs.

I'm pretty sure BEND is working on another Uncharted game.
GoldenAbyss had just some minor issues imo.
A little less gimmicky controlls(except for gyroaiming, that was awesome), native res. and multiplayer.
Et voilá 90+ ratings incoming.

I really hope gyro-aiming is in Killzone. Was fantastic in Uncharted.

Regarding Farming Simulator Vita, does anyone know if it's just a straight port of the 3DS/smartphone version or has additional content? The Android version that I have (1€ for the game but 1€ for every tier 2 machine so unlocking everything would cost more than just buying the Vita version) has two tiers of each machine (some exceptions I believe which only have one) and four harvesters (2x grain, 1x corn, 1x shredder). Going by the stats screen posted earlier the Vita version has the exact same crops as the Android one. AFAIK the 3DS version is identical to the smartphone version except more expensive (25€).

Also the Android version had a link to a manual on their website that explained pretty much every aspect of the game, might be worth looking for that if you're having trouble with the Vita version.

I don't like Infamous.I'd prefer to spend tjis money instead on Syphon Filter, Parappa, Loco Roco, Wipeout, GTA or God of war new entries for Vita. And ports of Journey and Flower.
And obviously sequels of Uncharted,Gravity Rush,Wipeout and Lumines

Does anyone have a spare Soul Sacrifice Pre-Order DLC code for me? :3

In return, I can offer, uh...Club Nintendo codes of Lego City and NSMBU, I guess.

-10% for being on the Vita.

If only the Vita version had a decent manual, lol. It basically leaves you to work everything out for yourself.

It seems like all the portable versions are based around the same version of the game (Farming Simulator 2012). Some one would probably need buy every one of them and compare to be sure though.

So I bit on a Vita yesterday from CowBoom after the "I want to buy a used Vita" thread. (I'm a little concerned that I haven't gotten any kind of confirmation email, but I do see the order on Amazon Payments, so if I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'll email them.)

I went to the PSN Vita store last night on my PS3, and I was impressed how many games I have waiting there for me. Even more impressed with how many games I actually own between foresight on PSN+, PS1 classics, and Cross-buy promotions.

I'm tempted to buy Virtue's Last Reward again, but that money will probably go to getting Persona 4.

Download the Soul Sacrifice demo too! The online MP servers are probably down, but the demo is still worth trying. :)

P4G is a good choice
Soul Sacrifice too!
PS+ (I see that you have it) and enjoy Gravity Rush and Wipeout!

Yep, has a platinum. It's not all that difficult to get either, just a bit grindy. Sure it'll come easily with how ridiculously addictive the game is, lol.

Be sure to buy it when it comes to the US ;)

Wait farming sim has a platinum?!

Holy shit

why is everyone so hyped... I thought the Simulator games.. weren't well-liked
Or are people being sarcastic?

Dude I love Sim games, especially farming games. Farming sim looks really fun too.

One of the reasons why I have the biggest boner for the game.

Bwahaha. Yeah it's a bitch when games take ages to come out in different regions. Now you know how Europe always feels! Hopefully it'll not be too long before it's out worldwide.

Welcome to the VITA-GAF fellow GAFfer, enjoy your stay and have fun. :)

It seems that PS Plus will keep you busy when you get your Vita at home, keep an eye for other deals too.

So no one played Dragon Fantasy? Just wondering if it's worth it.

Farming Simulator 2013 is one of the legitimately good simulators (for those who like huge timesinks). Falls short only to Euro Truck Simulator (2).

Who would you contact in regards to requesting a US release?

I was wondering whether the Vita version had additional vehicles or machinery but the website answered that, the selection is identical with the smartphone version. Also they're apparently releasing PS3 and 360 versions (based on the PC version) in September.

The manual URL for the Android version is http://www.farming-simulator.com/mobile/fs2012/fs2012ManualAndroid.php but I don't see an option to pick a different language (I've got the German Android version so I only have the URL for that version). Guessing there's no link on the game's live page either?

Farming Simulator doesn't let you flip the tractor on a road in first person, so it isn't the PC version. Fuck it.

A few people played it here, the best I would be able to tell you is that if you enjoy old school rpgs like the original Dragon Warrior games, or phantasy star then there is a possibility youll enjoy this. I liked it quite abit, and thought it had allot of charm, there are some issues with the miss rate being abit high but they are patching that soon.
