I just wonder - having grown up in this community and knowing exactly where this house was, trust me, the houses are stacked up on top of each other. The separation between houses isn't much wider than a driveway the width of one car. You would definitely hear people screaming in the house next-door, if they were. Even in a basement.

why? if his brothers are involved, it's pretty easy to see how years (think THOUSANDS OF DAYS) of endless emotional and physical torture/manipulation would probably make for a scenario where you are afraid to do anything but comply 100%.
Indeed. Someone threatens your life enough and you're scared, then factor in possible things like Stockholm Syndrome - the mind can become pretty warped.

He looked so serious for most of the interview but then busted up laughing at that great line Charles busted out.
Watch that guy in the video. At first he turns his back so you can read the messages on his vest that say things like "I'd talk about by dick but that is a loooong story" and "I'm not Mr.Right but I'll fuck you until he comes along"

This was disturbing to learn. Far from being suspicious, the guy was actually social with his neighbours
I hate to speculate on this situation, but if the young girl really was Berry's, her spur to action may have been caused by the potential threat of abuse to the child. I can't even imagine the circumstances or the nightmare that these women have been living through. Hopefully, they will have time to heal with their families and not be thrust into the spotlight too much by the media.
